thunderbird and subscriptions with sieve
Hi All,
I'm a newbie trying to move mail out of my ISP onto a ubuntu (lucid) dovecot
1.2.9 server.
Is there any way to automatically add folders created by sieve
(GNU Mailutils 2.1) to the subscriptions file for a user?
I'm currently testing spam, and if sieve created the folder with the first
message, the thunderbird user does not see the new folder.
Even more interesting, if the user

Converting a POP3 client to IMAP
I have a dovecot 2.0 dovecot server
set up for https/imap with
spam, av, and some preliminary sieve filters
in place.
Our current email is outsourced and so we
have used POP3 to keep all email on our
systems for many years.
I have run tests to move mail to the new
imap server and that seems to work pretty well.
However, we have lots of mail going back over
a decade and used a lot of aliases

LDAP connection leak?
I've set up Samba 3 as a PDC/BDC with LDAP. Yesterday we upgraded from
3.0.1 to 3.0.2rc1, which fixed some client-to-client problems we were
having. Shortly after midnight this morning the PDC stopped--the
general syslog logs, the LDAP log, and the Samba logs. The only process
that seems to continue is NTP, which after start-up does nothing NSS or
PAM-related. This leads me to think slapd

ACLs: Group ACL adds empty ACL for user of same name, why?
I'm playing around with ACLs, Groups and SOGo on Debian Stable, Dovecot
1.2.15.
If I set an ACL for a group 'developers':
6 setacl "INBOX.Trash" "$developers" "lrsw"
6 OK Setacl complete.
The dovecot-acl file for INBOX.Trash then contains a group setting for the
group, and a user setting for a user of the same name, giving it no
permissions.

It's been a little more than a week since the question last turned up :)
I'd also like to know if any progress has been made to allow NSD to have
zones added/removed on the fly, somewhat along the lines of BIND's

NSS ldap problems
One difference I ran into with samba authentication is in cent 5
/etc/pam.d/system-auth-ac is the file to change but in cent 6 its
/etc/pam.d/password-auth-ac. I found that changes I made only to
system-auth-ac in 5 had to be made to both system-auth-ac and
password-auth-ac in 6. This was to have authentication work for things
like ssh and sudo in centos 6.

What is the formula of Pseudo-F statistic in capscale in vegan?
Dear R-help,
We are conducting a distance-based redundancy analysis using capscale and
then testing for statistical significance for six terms in the model for the
constrained ordination using anova.cca in the vegan package. The
significance test is sequential, i.e., testing for significance of a term
only after accounting for all preceding terms. Could someone please provide
us with either the

I agree that no action should be taken.
It's somewhat mystifying that the robot known as "Amy Kristen"
responds so quickly after my post, and with such regularity (so far
twice per hour), using perhaps several email addresses - and using the
correct "Reply-To" headers. But more mystifying is that she keeps the
same name the whole time. And lucky, I guess, because otherwise

Spam messages
The problem is not specific to this list. Any kind of public
list may mean that other subscribers (or even the whole world)
can see your email address. So whenever you mail to a (public)
list there is a good chance that afterwards, you will get more
spam. Not really much can be done about it, at least not on
the side of the list, since any of the subscribers may be a
spammer, who can know...

Hello there,
How would I go about creating a function that will read a vector containing names of variables and then will output tables of proportions for all the categorical variables and summary statistics appropriate for all quantitative variables for all variables read by the function.
Thank you!

ACL syntax for setting specified folders within Maildir/ read-only for owner
Hi,
I have dovecot (2.2.16, see dovecot -n at end) installed to /opt on
CentOS 6 for access on a local network. I would like to create an
archival mail account which will reduce the primary account file size
and still make older emails easily accessible. How can I set specified
folders in this Maildir read-only with ACL? For example, I included this
in the dovecot-acl file to specify

[PATCH v3] arm: support fewer LR registers than virtual irqs
If the vgic needs to inject a virtual irq into the guest, but no free
LR registers are available, add the irq to a list and return.
Whenever an LR register becomes available we add the queued irq to it
and remove it from the list.
We use the gic lock to protect the list and the bitmask.

help with public namespace/mailbox
Dear all, I am hoping someone can help me with a problem that I have been
trying to fix for days. Using postfix and dovecot 2.0.19 on Ubuntu 12.04
with LDAP authentication and virtual users and domains.
Basically I want to setup both shared and public mailboxes. The shared part
is working fine, ie I can share folders successfully and other uses can see
them. However when I try and create sub

help with repeated values
I have a huge college dataset and I want to be able to find which colleges appear more than once in the dataset. How would I go about doing this? The variable college is a factor. If I just do table(college) it is impossible to find where there are repetitions. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

v1.2 can't set ACL to empty string
Hi *,
according to RfC4314 the rights argument to the setacl command might be
an empty string ("zero right characters"):
The third argument is a string containing an optional plus ("+") or
minus ("-") prefix, followed by zero or more rights characters.
existing clients (horde in particular) actually use this to remove all
rights from an user.
