Control of \Seen flags dovecot 1.2.9
Hi All, I have public mailboxes working with ACL's now, and I'm testing the ACL behavior. I've added lrws to two users so they can check off the messages they have read. I'm using CONTROL and INDEX in the location parameter for the namespace. It appears that if one user marks a message as read, all users see that message read. Is there any way to configure dovecot, so that

Converting a POP3 client to IMAP
I have a dovecot 2.0 dovecot server set up for https/imap with spam, av, and some preliminary sieve filters in place. Our current email is outsourced and so we have used POP3 to keep all email on our systems for many years. I have run tests to move mail to the new imap server and that seems to work pretty well. However, we have lots of mail going back over a decade and used a lot of aliases

LDAP connection leak?
I've set up Samba 3 as a PDC/BDC with LDAP. Yesterday we upgraded from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2rc1, which fixed some client-to-client problems we were having. Shortly after midnight this morning the PDC stopped--the general syslog logs, the LDAP log, and the Samba logs. The only process that seems to continue is NTP, which after start-up does nothing NSS or PAM-related. This leads me to think slapd

NSS ldap problems
One difference I ran into with samba authentication is in cent 5 /etc/pam.d/system-auth-ac is the file to change but in cent 6 its /etc/pam.d/password-auth-ac. I found that changes I made only to system-auth-ac in 5 had to be made to both system-auth-ac and password-auth-ac in 6. This was to have authentication work for things like ssh and sudo in centos 6. What is the formula of Pseudo-F statistic in capscale in vegan?
Dear R-help, We are conducting a distance-based redundancy analysis using capscale and then testing for statistical significance for six terms in the model for the constrained ordination using anova.cca in the vegan package. The significance test is sequential, i.e., testing for significance of a term only after accounting for all preceding terms. Could someone please provide us with either the

Suppressing DOMAIN on AD-DC Machine
Hello, Here's my setup: * Ubuntu 18.04 LTS * Samba 4.7.6 * Active Directory (provided by Samba) * Postfix 3.3.0 * Mailutils 3.4 On this machine, my AD usernames are showing in the format DOMAIN\username All the machines in the AD have a directive in their /etc/samba/smb.conf file winbind use default domain = yes however this doesn't work on this machine acting as the AD-DC, and looking

Spam messages
I agree that no action should be taken. It's somewhat mystifying that the robot known as "Amy Kristen" responds so quickly after my post, and with such regularity (so far twice per hour), using perhaps several email addresses - and using the correct "Reply-To" headers. But more mystifying is that she keeps the same name the whole time. And lucky, I guess, because otherwise

Spam messages
The problem is not specific to this list. Any kind of public list may mean that other subscribers (or even the whole world) can see your email address. So whenever you mail to a (public) list there is a good chance that afterwards, you will get more spam. Not really much can be done about it, at least not on the side of the list, since any of the subscribers may be a spammer, who can know... All

Receive Mail via lmtp/tcp
hi, we have IMAP and SMTP (sendmail(solaris)) on different hosts. Sendmail delivers Mails via LMTP to Cyrus and Cyrus puts the mails into the (hopefully) right box. Now I want to replace the Cyrus host with Dovecot. I've searched a bit in Google but there isn't much about LMTP via TCP in combination with DoveCot. Version 2 seems to be get the feature, but we have round about 5k users, so

Use multiple mbox locations
Hello, With GNU mailutils on Debian 9, we receive mails in /var/mail/<username> but when we read mails with the "mail" command, they are moved in a file ~/mbox: "Saved 1 message in /home/<username>/mbox". Bug#295560: logcheck: Please include filename when reporting "invalid regular expression"
Package: logcheck Version: 1.2.34 Severity: wishlist I have a couple of home-made logcheck ignore files, and happened to have one unescaped (and unmatched) `(' in one of the filter lines. Because of this, cron sent a mail with the body "grep: Invalid regular expression" - the subject is the command in the "2 * * * *" line in /etc/cron.d/logcheck, of course. It would be

help with repeated values
I have a huge college dataset and I want to be able to find which colleges appear more than once in the dataset. How would I go about doing this? The variable college is a factor. If I just do table(college) it is impossible to find where there are repetitions. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Lynna [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

imap client library.
Dear Dovecot developers, I have several question about imap client: - Is there any difference if we want to create imap client that connect to Imap server with user mail format Mailbox or Maildir? Dovecot support both of them, are we need to create different imap client to support both of them? - Does anyone have imap client library other than UW's c-client? thanks for your
