Help With 'No SASL Authentication Mechanisms' Error
Hi,
I'm trying to configure a new server with dovecot 2.0 and postfix 2.6.6.
My previous servers have all been dovecot 1.x. Trying to port over my
previous configurations has been a real headache.
Currently, I'm getting the following errors when trying to connect with:
openssl s_client -starttls smtp -connect localhost:25

Dovecot SASL doesn't seem to be working with Postfix
I've tried to setup Postfix to use SASL, but it still doesn't seem to be
working with Dovecot. I've set things up based on these instructions:
http://wiki.dovecot.org/HowTo/SimpleVirtualInstall
http://wiki.dovecot.org/HowTo/PostfixAndDovecotSASL
http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA
I've compiled Postfix with Dovecot SASL and SSL/TLS support. The problems
I'm seeing in Postfix are:

dnsupdate_nameupdate_done - Failed DNS update
Hi,
All 3 of my DCs regularly display an error in syslog almost exactly every
10 minutes. They have been doing this for quite some time, and I have so
far ignored the message as everything else DNS-wise seemed to mostly be
working - but I figured it was worth getting to the bottom of it if I can.
So this isn't new at all but rather something that has been present for
some time.

Dovecot 1.2.12 + Postfix + virtual domains: delivering to system users
As mentioned in my previous posting, I've set up a mailserver for a domain of
Winboxen, authenticated through Active Directory. After some struggles, I
finally got that working. But I also need to receive emails for a few system
users on the mailserver (like postmaster, and a couple of accounts set up
for maintaining the system).
I thought, based on the way I read the documentation,

Sip trunk mystery
Hello,
I am trying to add a sip-trunk to my Asterisk 1.4.15/Elastix 0.9.2 server.
The system is in production with local extensions, a zap trunk and a
working sip trunk with sipgate.de.
My asterisk server is behind a NAT/Firewall, anyhow it registers and works
well with sipgate.de on incoming and outgoing calls.
I aquired an account with a reseller net-voz.com: I did some testing with

the server is using CentOS 7 and that is the package that comes through
yum. everything is up to date. i am hesitant to install a new package
manually as that could cause other compatibility issues? is there
another way to test the configuration on the server?

Postfix delivers mails to maildir and not to dovecot LDA for a virtual user
Hi
I have been able to setup postfix and dovecot using postgres as the backend
store with virtual user maps on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Server.
I have been following instructions from here:
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/HowTo/DovecotPostgresql
I haven't setup postfix to use saslauthd and PAM, instead I am using
dovecot for SASL authentication. Rest of the table structures and query
files are the same as

mbox/maildir mixed setup with system/virtual mixed users
Hello Everyone,
I'm using dovecot 1.0.7 (not sure how relevant it is though)
configured to handle both sytem users and virtual users.
The system users are handled by default (PAM), while the virtual
users are handled pretty much like this:
passdb passwd-file {
args = /var/spool/vmail/%d/auth/%n
}
...And mailbox and folder location settings:
userdb static {

Mixing MBOX and MAILDIR
Hello,
I have about 100 mboxes, a few with a lot of mails and others with a few
mails. I have configured dovecot to use maildir as mail format, but I would
like to give users the ability to access their old email located in their
old mbox. So all the new mail would be in the ~/Maildir/ and their old or
archived email in /home/vmail/mboxmail/%Ln
How can I add a namespace to achieve my
