Some of my IMAP Folders vanished in some MUAs
Hi, I'm using dovecot for some time now. Previously I was using Courier and I've migrated this setup to dovecot which went pretty fine. Now I'm experiencing some strange behaviour when using some newer mail clients. Some of my Folders, like "spam", are vanished. The strange point is that it only happens in some clients, like Thunderbird 2.x+ or KMail 3.5.x. In others,

Listen on several (but not all) Interfaces
Hi, I'm using Dovecot 1.0rc15 from Debian stable/etch. I'd like to have Dovecot listen on more than one interface. It shall listen on one IPv4 Interface and on one IPv6 Interface. The comments in the sample configuration file say, that it's not possible to listen on more than one interface at a time. Sadly it's no option to me to listen on all interfaces. So I'd like to ask

Can't move messages
Hi, I use dovecot with IMAP over SSL and with Plain Text authentication. I've been using that for quite a while, but now (with my new PC), it's not working like it should (I tried several 1.0* releases, including 1.0-rc6. The problem is that I can't move messages from one IMAP folder to another, no matter which mail client. When I use KMail, I get: "The connection to the

Messages disappear and reappear when I check mailbox using KMail
Not sure if this is a Dovecot bug or a KMail bug, but since it only seems to happen to people using KMail to access a Dovecot server or a Novell NetWare IMAP server, I thought I should mention it here. <http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121866> From the bug report: When I check for mail on an IMAP account (not disconnected), all recently-received messages disappear prior to any mail

Seen bug?
Hi, I'm using Kmail and dovecot for my IMAP pleasure, and have had some problems, which are evident from the following exchange with some kmail developers. My patch to the imap protocol in KDE fixed my problem, but should dovecot be changed instead? Thank you for any insight! I've included the discussion on kmail-devel so far: [ I wrote: ] -- I've recently switched to IMAP for

Replacement for KMail V1
Last week my trusty Fedora 9 file and print server failed on me. Not bad for 12 years trusty service. I have now replaced it with a C7 server and found that lots have changed in those 12 years. Thankfully many things haven't, named-chroot, dhcpd, etc pretty much copied across and Samba wasn't a major rewrite. However I feel like my right arm has been chopped off.? My work life

Duplicate message
I'm running dovecot on my desktop and using kmail as a client on my laptop. I am very happy with this - I was previously running kmail under NFS, and this is infinitely better. There is one small issue, which is not very important. I get a small number of messages apparently duplicated. This doesn't really matter, as there is a facility Folder=>Remove Duplicate Messages under kmail,

Samba 4.2.0rc4 can't authenticate users
This problem shows up on both Linux and Solaris. I am going to show the logs from a Fedora 2.6.25-14.fc9.i686 machine. We are using 'security = domain' with a Windows 2000 domain controller. We are setting 'password server = starfish2' dispite the fact that the documentation says that this in not necessary as we have found it to be necessary. We are setting 'workgroup =

Using NID_x500UniqueIdentifier as ssl_username_from_cert
Hi, please have a look at the attached patch for dovecot-1.0.3 These patch modifies ssl_proxy_get_peer_name() to use the NID_x500UniqueIdentifier as username instead of NID_commonName. The reason is, that the Common Name doesn't have to be unique for the whole mailserver. Example; in germany a lot of people got the first name "Andreas" and the last name "Schulz".

Re: Ubuntu 16.04 libvirt-guests.sh [6917] - running guests under URI address default: no running guests
I'm not familiar with the libvirt codebase, but the extension of libvirt-guests.sh indicates that it is a shell script. Maybe you can modify it to find the spot where it hangs? 2017-07-09 18:49 GMT+02:00 Jędrek Domański <jedrek.domanski@gmail.com>: > Yeah, I know. some messages showing up twice
I've recently installed dovecot 0.99.10.5 on a redhat 7.3 machine. Everything seems to be running fine and smoothly for the most part, however in the past few days I've seen a couple of duplicate emails (and so have a few of my users) which don't appear to have been processed twice by sendmail. also, on one of my IMAP sub-folders my mail client (mozilla thunderbird version 0.6+

Minor dovecot/KMail problem
I'm running a dovecot/IMAP server under CentOS-5.3 on my desktop, reading the mail with KMail on my laptop. I have what seems a venerable and well-documented problem/bug; when I click on "Check Mail" I get an error message "Error while getting folder information" ... Actually, this doesn't appear to have the slightest effect on kmail, which works perfectly if one just
