HIGHESTMODSEQ replication issue
Hello, I'm using dovecot 2.3.10 in OpenSUSE and I have configured a master/master replication between two backends, it works well but I have found an issue with the replication of the HIGHESTMODSEQ. When I move a set of message from a mailbox to other, e.g. move 3 messages from INBOX to Junk, the HIGHESTMODSEQ get different on each server, with no errors in the log: [Borrador] 34:34

geo-replication
Thank you for your help! Just to make things clear to me (and get a better understanding of gluster): So, if I make the slave cluster just distributed and node 1 goes down, data (say file.txt) that belongs to node 1 will not be synced. When node 1 comes back up does the master not realize that file.txt has not been synced and makes sure that it is synced when it has contact with node 1 again? So

replication newbie: some beginner questions
At a customer we run dovecot-2.3.10 along with postfix and mariadb, using postfixadmin as GUI. Now I plan to migrate to a new hardware (bigger machine) and in the same step to migrate from Gentoo Linux to Debian Linux. So I think about how to get the mailboxes from A to B. We use one UID afaik: mail_home = /home/vmail/%d/%u mail_location = maildir:~ I read about dsync and wonder: * does it

Deploying geo-replication to local peer
Hi Kotresh, Thanks for response! After taking more tests with this specific geo-replication configuration I realized that file extended attributes trusted.gfid and trusted.gfid2path.*** are synced as well during geo replication. I?m concern about attribute trusted.gfid because value of the attribute has to be unique for glusterfs cluster. But this is not a case in my tests. File on

geo-replication
Hi again, I have been testing and reading up on other solutions and just wanted to check if my ideas are ok. I have been looking at dispersed volumes and wonder if there are any problems running replicated-distributed cluster on the master node and a dispersed-distributed cluster on the slave side of a geo-replication. Second thought, running disperesed on both sides, is that a problem (Master:

dovecot replication - new and cur folders on mx1 and mx2
I can confirm this in a slightly different setting, but still using two-way sync between two dovecots. On e is 2.3.19.1 running on macOS Monterey, the other is 2.3.20 running in an alpine container on Ubuntu. Azure AD Connect and replication issues
Hi Michal, Seems we are doing similar things at the moment: getting samba to work with azure AD. We also see the high CPU usage on the DC that the Azure AD Connect server connected to. Between 70 - 100 percent in our case. We are not seeing any replication issues after azure AD Connect, and I have a script that automatically checks replication every few minutes. I was the one reporting the

dovecot replication - new and cur folders on mx1 and mx2
It might have a noticeable effect on clients. I encountered (probably triggered by this in some way?) that I was unable to het the 'read' bit set in macOS Mail.app. Maybe (as I am doing HA with round robin) the Mail.app client got to one dovecot repository on one tcp connection and then on the other. Is there a reason why syncing tis move from new to cur is a bad idea? Gerben Wierda

SAMBA 4.10 SYSVOL Replication adn RODC
Hi All, 1) I read that the devs are working on supporting AD 2012 in 4.11, very cool. 2) I read SAMBA 4.11 can support 100,000 users and 120,000 computers, very cool. It appears that SAMBA is moving to be a viable file server, authentication and authorization server that can replace Microsoft Active Directory - Directory Services. Is this possible before 2030 for business with multiple sites

Deploying geo-replication to local peer
Hi, I'm looking for glusterfs feature that can be used to transform data between volumes of different types provisioned on the same nodes. It could be, for example, transformation from disperse to distributed volume. The possible option is to invoke geo-replication between volumes. It seems is works properly. But I'm concern about requirement from Administration Guide for Red Hat Gluster
