[RCU] Dovecot managesieve
Well I've looked forward into the wiki and did not found
my server have only system users ( no virtual domain )
and the wiki says :
System users
If you wish you use deliver for all system users on a single domain mail
host you can do it by editing mailbox_command parameter in
/etc/postfix/main.cf (postconf(5)):
That's what I did but then I have this problem with DOTLOCK

Openbsd Postfix-Dovecot-SASL
Greetings all,
I have a OpenBSD /Dovecot server at home running and sending / receiving
email "internally" without issue..
Recently, I set up the same at our Parish, but one of our users wants to get
their email externally.
The user can read their email but has to "send" via the local ISP server..
The problem
After much searching I have not found an answer to my question.

lda_mailbox_autocreate and lda_mailbox_autosubscribe
Hello
I use real unix users on the mailhub and I would like to
automate home directories creation for new users.
I found lda_mailbox_autocreate and lda_mailbox_autosubscribe
statements in 15-lda.conf file ( dovecot 2.0.11 ) which seem to be the right
things for me :-)
I use Postfix 2.8.1 with Dovecot LDA
mailbox_command = /usr/local/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-lda

Using deliver with postfix
Hi, I'm trying to set up dovecot 1.1.2 and postfix 2.5.4 on freebsd 7.0.
I'm getting permissions problems on auth-master and I'm not sure of the
correct settings to use.
In postfix's main.cf I have
mailbox_command=/usr/local/libexec/dovecot/deliver -d $USER
In dovecot.conf I have:
socket listen {
master {
path = /var/run/dovecot/auth-master
mode = 0660

parameters to deliver
Read this in the dovecot sieve wiki:
"The envelope sender is taken from a Return-Path: header in the
message. The envelope recipient is taken from -d option passed to
deliver."
Is "-d" still a valid deliver switch? When I configure postfix's
main.cf like so...
mailbox_command = /usr/local/libexec/dovecot/deliver -d -e

Dovecot LDA (deliver) stopped working
Hello,
One day a week or so ago, a server that's Postifx w/ Local users,
dovecot w/ LDA decided to stop working. The only thing that stopped is
the LDA portion, the rest all works fine. I also posted to the postfix
mailing list yesterday but wasn't able to debug any further. Here's
the situation:
if I use mailbox_command to point to deliver, postfix will always put
the message in the

Postfix delivers mails to maildir and not to dovecot LDA for a virtual user
Hi
I have been able to setup postfix and dovecot using postgres as the backend
store with virtual user maps on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Server.
I have been following instructions from here:
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/HowTo/DovecotPostgresql
I haven't setup postfix to use saslauthd and PAM, instead I am using
dovecot for SASL authentication. Rest of the table structures and query
files are the same as

Vanishing maildirsize files with 1.0.7 using 'deliver' via postfix
Aloha,
I've searched the list and have found no similar reports, so I'm asking
here.
We have 3 RH5.1 boxes running the stock Postfix 2.3.3, but due to issues
with the stock Dovecot 1.0rc15, Redhat supplied us with the version of
Dovecot 1.0.7 that will be in Redhat 5.2.
The mail store is automounted per-user from a Sun box via NFS.
We were using it with no problems until last Friday,

Postfix, mailbox_command, Dovecot deliver, LDAP and mail_location
I am trying to tell Dovecot deliver to use $mail_location as the location to
store mail for system users. From the docs I've read
<http://wiki.dovecot.org/MailLocation> I believe this is possible, but mail to
my system users always gets delivered to their /home/<USERNAME> homedirectory.
Here's what I've done so far:
# Postfix main.cf

LDA/Postfix with quotas and without LMTP
Reading the wiki page for dovecot2 and LDA/Postfix, the system users section (all mail delivery goes to system users)... It shows you can simply use postfix mailbox_command. There is this additional comment:
"This command doesn't do a userdb lookup. If you want that (e.g. for per-user quota lookups) you need to add -d "$USER" parameter."
So, i added that. Once adding it,

deliver and cloning file permissions
Hi!
I'd like to use deliver (dovecot-1.2.10) as LDA to deliver mails to my
local users on my postfix-system.
However, deliver tries to copy the filesystem permissions of the
mail-spool-files to the user's index files, which doesn't work, since
the files in /var/mail/ belong to the group 'mail'.

Postfix 2.5.5
SpamAssassin 3.2.5 (under Perl 5.10.0)
ClamAV 0.95.1
Dovecot 1.2.rc2
works fine on Fedora 10.
Installed Dovecot and ClamAV from source and everything else using yum.
I'm using the ClamAV plugin for Spamassassin:

I'm calling Spamassassin with:

Postfix - dspam - dovecot deliver fails at deliver
I have Postfix & Dovecot working properly with mail delivered to the
user's ~/Maildir using the postfix config:
mailbox_command = /usr/lib/dovecot/deliver
I would like to insert dspam in between, passing mail from postfix to
dspam and then to dovecot/deliver for delivery.
My objective is to only filter incoming mail. This set up doesn't seem

Multi OS boot and shared secret trouble
Hello
We are facing a boring trouble with multi OB boot machines
that access to our samba server.
All machines authenticate to samba PDC ( linux debian etch + windows )
It appears when machines windows's bootup the shared secret is changed
by windows
if we reboot the same machine under Linux it cannot authenticate
anymore because Linux does NOT change the shared secret ...
The machines

Dovecot LDA and Postfix/local for local users.
Hello,
I would like to configure dovecot lda for local users. My dovecot vesion
is 1.2.15. Dovecot documentation for System users says that only thing I
should add to main.cf is:
mailbox_command = /usr/local/libexec/dovecot/deliver (path to deliver)
After that should I commented postfix/local process from master cf ?

Jarek
