ot: copy physical mail files ?
dumb question warning: I have two email accounts, me at tld1 and me at tld2 often, get emails intended (by me) for me at tld2 sent to me at tld1 this is purely for my own preferred record keeping preference, as I run the server, is it 'a really bad things' if I simply copy relevant mail files from /var/vmail/vmail1/tld1..../cur to /var/vmail/vmail1/tld2.../cur ? rather than forward

[BUG] Re: auth_bind with "()" in username not working
Hi guys, I had a look in the sources about this problem. the problem seems to be the ldap_escape function that is called from ldap_verify_plain_auth_bind_userdn(..) I dont really know if this escaping is needed at this point, but with this change it works for me. No other problems discovered so far. could somebody, who is deeper in the sources give me a hint if this will make some troubles?

Request for variable unique to each server?
I've been looking for a variable I can use in my dovecot.conf within the INDEX= setting so I can have one index dir per imap server on NFS. I've been looking at http://wiki.dovecot.org/Variables but no variable seems to contain something like server hostname, and I've been hunting for the variable expansion code in dovecot but haven't been able to find it. %l (local IP) won't

spinning and flipping arrays
Hello people, Is there some simple way of spinning and/or flipping arrays in R? Here's what I mean. Suppose that foo is a 2x3x4 array with the following contents: (I know this is different than typing 'foo' at and R prompt, but I'm so used to row major order from using APL, I have a hard time with R's output) > foo[1,,] [,1] [,2] [,3] [,4] [1,] 1 2 3 4

Auth checking also the service
Hello everyone. I'm switching to dovecot from courier-imap and after some problems with Apple Mail client, now everything seems to be fine. The only problem that I have not solved yet is to check also the service (pop3, pop3s, imap, imaps) in the authentication phase. In courier-authlib I do this: MYSQL_SELECT_CLAUSE SELECT username, \ password, \

%{orig_user} missing in checkpassword-Script
Dear dovecot maintainers: I'm using SSL client certificates together with a checkpassword scripts to authenticate our users. My problem is: In the checkpassword script the AUTH_USER environment variable will either contain the username that was configured in the mailclient (if auth_ssl_username_from_cert=false) or the username from the certificate (if auth_ssl_username_from_cert=true). Unable to create raw volume on netfs storage (Operation not permitted)
Hello, we are trying to create a new setup with a centralized storage server. Currently we are running multiple "All-in-One" hosts using raw volumes stored on the local disk of the server. I tried it first with samba but it did not work so currently I have configured it as NFS. This is my current setup: For Storage: OS: Ubuntu 16.04 beta (to match vHost version), IP: 123.123.123.2

Kickstart IPv6 Gateway
Hi. I'm installing CentOS 7 with Kickstart on a machine that has IPv6. The problem is that while it has an IPv6 address after installation it does not have the IPv6 gateway. I'm using NetworkManager and my network configuration is completely static, no autoconf or dhcpv6. My Kickstart configuration uses the following network configuration (actual values replaced but with the same

PATCH - add username_format to the PAM auth module
Hi there, Other auth modules (eg passwd-file) allow a username_format to be specified, but not the PAM module. The use-case, is where I want a static userdb configuration which takes the domain into account but still want to use PAM for authentication, eg: userdb { driver = static args = uid=8 gid=12 home=/mnt/storage/mail/vhosts/%d/%n } passdb { driver = pam args = username_format=%n

Dynamic SIP.CONF
Hey All, We are looking to expand our usage of Asterisk and I am trying to make as much of the configuration dynamic as I possibly can. The only part that I'm having problems with is sip.conf. I can get asterisk to register each extension with our local SER SIP proxy dynamically by using the "sipfriends" table in the database, but I'm having trouble with the message waiting

ISC's dhcp server, radvd and bind9 now adding samba as an AD DC
So I had dhcp, radvd and bind working together nicely and now I threw in a wrench of setting up an AD DC I want to change my dhcp server setting to put client's into the new AD Domain but am a little hesitant as it is all working so nicely with DDNS I'm starting to think all I need to do is edit just my dhcpd.conf and change occurrences of DOMAIN1.SUBDOMAIN.TLD to

ISC's dhcp server, radvd and bind9 now adding samba as an AD DC
I had left my config alone for now and dhcp still writes to DOMAIN1.SUBDOMAIN.TLD. But samba has been complaining about not being able to write to bind in its zone.
