X-SAVEDATE & dync & doveadm expunge
Hello List, After moving the mail store via dsync backup to a different location the following command doveadm expunge -u user mailbox "Trash" savedbefore 10d deleted ALL mails in Trash instead of messages older than 10 days. It looks like X-SAVEDATE is somehow wrong... A fetch 1:* (internaldate x-savedate) * 1 FETCH (INTERNALDATE "28-Dec-2007 14:49:58 +0100" X-SAVEDATE

Expunge Old Email
For those of you running mailservers on CentOS 6, what are the suggestions for programs to expunge old email? For instance, deleting email from a Spam folder that is 2 weeks old or older. I see that Dovecot does have a solution, but was wondering about what others have landed on. My systems are basically Postfix, Dovecot using Maildir. Thanks, John Hinton

Many messages clustered around the same date.saved value
Subject: Different user messages clustered around the same date.saved value After updating dovecot to 2.1.3, I can now use "doveadm expunge -A ..." to iterate through all user trash folders and expunge old messages. However, I noticed a strange thing: querying what would have been deleted doveadm -ftab fetch -A "date.saved" mailbox Trash savedbefore 7d showed many

Debugging doveadm expunge
Hi, I'm a recent convert to dovecot, and in general it is all working fine. However, I have a number of cron jobs set up to purge old messages from mailboxes. These don't seem to be doing what I would expect. Is there any way of debugging this process? Some way of seeing what messages it's checking, and why each one matches or fails to match? For example, I'm running this:
