Courier-mta with Dovecot LDA again
Hi all
Sorry for repost, but i don't believe that there is noone who know where the problem can be. At
least developers should know :-)
I have sent this post once, but without answer.
I have setup dovecot lda instead of maildrop on my courier server.
Delivery is working, sieve plugin too, but i can't figure out why lda can't send emails via sendmail
(vacation).

Missing public folder
Hi
i am using dovecot 2.0.13 and i can't see public folder in my mail client. But what is strange, it
was working after instalation, and i don't know when it dissapeared. Maybe after some upgrade ?
When i enable debug, then i can see in my log that folder exists and no errors. Please where should
i find the problem ?
Thanks
Martin

You can't use DIGEST-MD5 if you have hashed passwords (using other than DIGEST-MD5 scheme).

mdbox index directories: bug?
Hi,
I'm using mdbox now (Dovecot 2.2.4), with indexes on a
separate disk. Works fine, but the directories for indexes are also
present in the storage folder, and are empty. Userdb (sql) returns this:
home /var/vmail/domains/somedomain/someuser
mail
mdbox:~/mdbox:INDEX=/mnt/spool/dovecot/index/somedomain/s/someuser
And
the created directory structure is:

intermittent authentication: check_ntlm_password: Authentication for user [someuser] -> [someuser] FAILED with error NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
OS: Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS
Kernel: 2.6.24-23-server x86_64
Samba: 3.0.28a-1ubuntu4.9
We are having intermittent authentication issues with some windows
clients connecting to our samba server. Sometimes it works fine,
sometimes it fails miserably and continually. I'm not sure how to
reproduce the issue everytime but it does happen every single day.
Looking for some help.

Yikes! Polycom 501 chokes on BootRom 4.0.0?
I was progressively upgrading this phone from 3.1.2
to 3.2.3, then to 4.0.0. v3.2.3 worked fine, but
when I went to 4.0.0 (Even adding the more specific
2345-11500-040.bootrom.ld), it won't run, and
just keeps rebooting.
Now I've got a really nice doorstop unless someone
knows how to get out of this predicament. Help!

Virtual users
Hello,
I am using postfix and virtual accounts. So far, I have been able to get
postfix to deliver to the correct location, but I don't know how to get
dovecot to pick up the mail. My mails are at /srv/vmail/domain/user,
below is my dovecot -n output and the relevant error. Can you help me
please?

Samba 4.2.10 AD DC not resolving user groups anymore
Hi list,
I just upgraded an AD DC from 4.1.17 to 4.2.10 (using jessie package),
wbinfo -r someuser now fails randomly (well not THAT randomly I guess it
depends on group membership)
$ wbinfo -r oneuser
failed to call wbcGetGroups: WBC_ERR_DOMAIN_NOT_FOUND
Could not get groups for user oneuser
$ wbinfo -r anotheruser

wbinfo -u & wbinfo -g returns no error

ifname in openvz container
Hi!
Is there any way to specify ethernet device name to be created inside
the openvz container?
I could find such info at http://libvirt.org/formatdomain.html#elementsNICS.
If I do as below I get br0 as ethernet device inside VM whereas I'd like
it to be eth0.
$ cat ovz.xml

libvirtd does not update VM .xml configurations on filesystem after virsh snapshot/blockcommit
Hi,
Recently We've upgraded some KVM hosts from Fedora 29 to Fedora 30 and
now experience broken VM configurations on filesystem after virsh blockcommit.
Commands "virsh dumpxml ..." and "virsh dumpxml --inactive ..." is showing diffrent configuration than the one on filesystem.
In case of restart libvirtd or system reboot, there are broken VM xml configurations on

4.0 stopped working after updating xubuntu 13.04
Hi
I got some strange issues on my samba4.0.1 install yesterday. It
happened a while after updating my xubuntu server 13.04 not 13.10.
Everything seems to be working fine except shares. Kerberos
authentication seem to function properly, also DNS works fine but shares
seem semi-broken.
I can't mount any shares on my Windows box, including netlogon,
profiles. I have one share that is

Yes, we support DIGEST-MD5, but the password is correct: If I restart
the service, they can login immediately.

On an Ubuntu Server 12.04 system with Dovecot 2.0.19 I am having some
trouble with the Dovecot passwords. I am finding this in the logs when
I unsuccessfully try to log in:

Merging mailboxes with doveadm
Hello,
I am trying to merge(=copy) all mails of all user mailboxes into one
mailbox for one-time archival purposes.
The command I am using is
?sudo doveadm -v copy -A archive at somedomain.net ALL
The error I get for every mailbox is:

Samba-winbind 3.5.4 primary group is always domain users!!!???
Dear All,
I stepped over a strange issue today. I have one installation of samba
winbind 3.3.2 on a Ubuntu machine. Changing the primary unix group of a
user is updated immediately. On a newer samba 3.5.4 installation the
primary group is not updated at all. It always displays "domain users".
Is there a new setting for the smb.conf? Here is my smb.conf:

I have certain power users who can't login through POP3 or IMAP from
their computer while being receiving mail on their cell phones (pop3),

Am I hitting some other limit? I don't see any error in dovecot.log
but a generic failed login:
