JMAP support in Dovecot
Hi!
We are working on including JMAP support to Dovecot. At this moment I cannot give any promise for exact version, but hopefully it will be part of v2.3

I've seen this plugin, but I fear that it will be enabled for all users.
I don't have seen an way to enable it only for 1 user like rawlog permits.

sievec - manual compile of global sieve scripts?
How do you compile global scripts using the sievec command without
making the script directory owned (and group writable) by the vmail user?
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Pigeonhole/Sieve/Usage
# cd /etc/dovecot/sieve/before/
# (edit some script like spam.sieve that runs for everyone)
# /usr/local/bin/sievec spam.sieve spam.svbin

How do I fix this: master: Warning: fd limit (ulimit -n) is lower than required
I get this when I reload dovecot after any changes. How can I fix it? I can?t find any reference to it anywhere.
master: Warning: fd limit (ulimit -n) is lower than required under max. load (256 < 1000), because of default_client_limit

Help please: Migrating Courier imap - Dovecot (Postfix virtual mailbox domains)
I'm trying to migrate from qmail to postfix.
The original server is combo of qmail and Courier imap (no pop mailboxes)
I have a working Postfix config and had imap working with Courier imap on
the new server. I thought I would experiment with Dovecot as it has some
good press.
I have moved the contents of my original maildir's to the new server and
ste permissions and group membership

Conditionally disabling auth policy
I've been digging into the auth policy stuff with weakforced lately. There
are cases (IP ranges, so could be wrapped up in remote {} blocks) where
it'd be nice to skip the auth policy (internal hosts that I can trust, but
that are hitting the same servers as the outside world).
Is there any way to disable auth policy, possibly inside a remote{}?
auth_policy_server_url complains that it

Problem installing latest dovecot w vpopmail
Hello -
I am trying to migrate my dovecot installation from an older server
running version 1.x to the latest 2.0.3
When I run configure --with-vpopmail, it bombs pretty quick as follows:
./configure --with-vpopmail
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking for a thread-safe mkdir -p... /bin/mkdir -p

detect suspicious logins
does anyone know of a linux module (maybe similar to fail2ban) that
could be installed which would monitor email logs (sign ins) and alert
the user to any suspicious activity on their account? i suspect it
would need to log geo location, device type and ip address to a
database. it seems like a module like this would be very useful and
should exist already? thanks in advance

processing Dovecot maildirs with shell scripts
Hello,
I have a postfix server which uses procmail as its delivery agent to
deliver incoming messages to several maildirs. For several reasons,
not really relevant here, I need to process/refilter/sort again the
content of these mailboxes before delivering the messages to the
_other_ maildirs which Dovecot sees and serves to local or remote imap
users. Basically, I need to write some shell
