500 Internal Server Error on Cisco 7940 after INVITE
Hi, Our Cisco 7940 phones on a single network sometimes seem to drop calls as soon as they are picked up. After a second INVITE the phone sends '500 Internal Error'. One phone thinks its still in a call (though there is no audio) while the other phone is not in a call. The drop happens immediately after connecting and I think it is due to a second INVITE. Turning reinvite off seems

Rsync to backup dbox with SIS
We will be deploying a replacement Dovecot server soon, and we are planning to use maildir for the primary storage, but with an archive namespace using mdbox (or perhaps sdbox), and SIS. Our backup servers and (luke)warm spare server need to obtain full copies of the mail store. For the maildirs I know I can simply use rsync (we already use it here). I'm a little wary of using rsync with

LDA-based vacation responses bouncing
I've got dovecot vacataion auto-responses working via sieve, but when the responses are sent, they are sent as if they are to be locally delivered, which causes them to bounce for domains that I am not local for. How can I get dovecot's sieve vacation response to check the domain is local or not? Here is an example of what happens: The LDA notices it needs to send a vacation response:

mailboxes missing after upgrade from 2.1.4 to 2.1.7
Hi all, I mentioned this on the #dovecot irc channel, but I thought I would post here so I can provide more details. The basic problem is that when I upgraded from 2.1.4 to 2.1.7, some users no longer are able to see their folders in pine/alpine. The folders are actually there, and are subscribed (according to doveadm) and its possible to do operations on those folders, if you know the name (for

Sharing user folders doesn't work when users have periods in names.
I am using period as an IMAP separator with Maildir directories and I cannot share folders where the user has a period in their name. Suppose I log in as 'some.user' and do: SETACL INBOX mailtest at example.co.uk +lrwstipekxacd /var/mail/virtual/users/some.user/Maildir/dovecot-acl is created, with appropriate contents and shared-mailboxes.db gains an entry for

Limit confusion
Hi, On one of my dovecot servers, i've got a limit problem... and I'm a little confused about which knobs I should adjust to solve it. I've been getting both of these: Error: net_connect_unix(imap) failed: Resource temporarily unavailable - http://wiki2.dovecot.org/SocketUnavailableess This one caused me to go read that wiki page, but none of those seem to apply to me: . i'm

[Help] quota_rule with LDAP backend, dovecot-1.1.1
Hi, all. I use dovecot-1.1.1 with OpenLDAP as userdb. but i failed to convert quota value as expect. I set '10' as mail quota, and it should be '10M' as expect, but it's not effect, dovecot always uses 'quota_rule' setting in dovecot.conf. How can i fix this issue? 10*1047576? Hi, originating from the same Problem Edgar Fu? described here [1] about "Zero-sized Maildir files and index corruption on over-quota" i setup quota = fs:user quotas with a quota_rule set to 1.5G to prevent getting those zero sized mail files. What happens now is that when the user is over system soft quota (1G) mails stop beeing delivered. Jun 16 19:05:45 mail dovecot:

How to find out the trend during a time period?
Hi all: I have a dataset which contains two variables: Y and time y<-c(228,189,232,198,252,315) time<-2003:2008 How can I find out the trend(increase/decrease) of y along the time period? If I use: lm(y~time) The "lm" command treats time as natural number, but not date. So maybe "lm" isn't appropriate. Then, which function could be used? Thanks a lot for your help.
