Problem with dict-quota, deliver killed by delivery attempt
Hi,
I can't get quota lda plugin working...
When I enable quota plugin, the emails (delivered by exim + dovecot-lda) are
instantly rejected:

Accessing the -a and -d from dovecot-lda
I've got exim set up to deliver like this:
command = /usr/local/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-lda -a $original_local_part@$original_domain -d $local_part@$domain -f $sender_address
If an email to is bob+sales at ish.com.au then we should have "-a
bob+sales at subdomain.ish.com.au -d bob at ish.com.au".
Now in dovecot, only bob at ish.com.au is a real user but I want to be able

Dovecot replication, no updates on message deposit
Hi,
I am trying to setup dovecot replication based on:
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Replication
All mailboxes share the same UNIX userid ('vmail'), and I setup ssh-key
based login for this account in both directions. As LDA exim4 is
configured to use dovecot deliver LDA. Here is the relevant config from
exim:

Segfault in dovecot-lda 2.0.5
Hi,
I've recently started using dovecot-lda to handle my local maildir
deliveries from Exim. Unfortunately I've been experiencing the
occasional failed delivery - My Exim logs were showing:

command "/usr/local/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-lda -d $local_part@$domain

exim dovecot sieve
Hello list.
I have just a generic question. Exim delivers fine to dovecot-lda. My
problems are the logfiles. Whenever I recieve a message
Exim writes to dovecot.log as the user who recieves the mail. This
forces me to have that logfile world writeable. I don't
really like that. How do you guys deal with that? Here my transport:

how add size (, S=size) and virtual size (, W=vsize) fields to a maildir filename ?
Hi to all,
I'm a sys admin in a college, and we're using Dovecot as IMAP/POP3
server and delivery; we're also patch dovecot to add managesieve
capability. I've a question:
I've read on dovecot's wiki, that is possible improve the performance on
maildir files by adding ,S=<size>,W=<vsize> fields on filename. How is
possible to do that ? I've search on all

Calling dovecot-lda correctly from exim for virtual user setup
Hi,
I'm running Dovecot 2.1.7 on Debian. Exim is the MTA. I was recently
made aware of the fact that the way in which Exim invokes dovecot-lda is
prone to code injection:
dovecot_virtual_delivery:
driver = pipe
command = HOME=/home/vmail/\$local_part /usr/lib/dovecot/dovecot-lda
-f \$sender_address
use_shell
..
I.e. a command is executed via the shell, and Exim uses

Non-standard fields?
Hi,
Non-standard fields are mentioned here:
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/MailboxFormat/Maildir and they are stated as
currently not used.
Questions:
- am I right that if they will be used, they will be key=value pairs,
like fields in the base filename? Like:
1035478339.27041_118.foo.org,S=1000,W=1030:2,S,X=12,A=something
- or are they supposed to be flags, like:

Dovecot LDA errors
Hi list,
I'm having an issue on a server thats been running ok for years, its
running Exim 4.91 onto of FreeBSD 10.4 with Dovecot 2.3.1.
Recently I've started seeing messages getting stuck in the queue for
local delivery and upon checking the Exim log I see this:

deliver doesn't find adress/inbox
I'm trying to make dovecot 1.2.15, deliver, openLDAP, exim and fetchmail
work together on an Debian Squeeze (virtual) maschine. The connection
between dovecot and LDAP seems to be working, I can logon from
Thunderbird (IMAP) and my maildir is created automatically. So far so good.
But when I download the mails via fetchmail, it seems that deliver

--max-vsize option
The R memory docs say that the --*-vsize option takes an integer
argument and then 'G', 'M', 'K', or 'k'. When I start R using
R --max-vsize=10G
I receive the warning:
WARNING: --max-vsize=10G=10'M': too large and ignored
The system that I'm working on is a 64-bit Sun server with 40G of
memory. What is the correct syntax for this command?

I moved from the LDA to LMTP and a lot of ?weird? things stopped.
Let me know if you?d like to see my exim setup. (I?m also on FreeBSD, and the Dovecot maintainer and committer).

--max-vsize
Hi,
In both R 2.13 and the SVN trunk, I observe odd behaviour with the
--max-vsize command-line argument:
1. passing a largeish value (about 260M or greater) makes mem.limits()
report NA for the vsize limit; gc() continues to report a value...
2. ...but that value (and the actual limit) is wrong by a factor of 8.
I attach a patch for issue 2, lightly tested. I believe that fixing

ALT storage question
I want to migrate from a non-hashed storage to a hashed storage.
So I set this up:
mail_location = mdbox:/srv/vmail/%2.256Hu/%Lu/mdbox:ALT=/srv/vmail/%Ld/%Ln/mdbox
I rsynced the "old" mdbox-style mailbox from another machine to to /srv/vmail/%Ld/%Ln/mdbox
(/srv/vmail/charite.de/ralf.hildebrandt/mdbox in my case)
The mail_location /srv/vmail/c5/ralf.hildebrandt at charite.de was

vsize and nsize
I am running R version ??? under Redhat 5.2. It seems as though the
--nsize object has no effct on the size of the allocated Ncells as
determined using gc(). Yes, I have that much data....
That is if I envoke R with
R --vsize 100 --nsize 5000000
then type
gc()
I get
free total
Ncells 92202 200000
Vcells 12928414 13107200
