Confused about permissions needed for shared mailbox
Hello, let me re-state, hopefully in clearer terms, what I tried to described in a previous thread : With dovecot-1.1.8/Maildir/LDAP pass/userdb (prefetch), I'm trying to set up a Maildir ".box" shared in rw between 2 users in a "Public" namespace. I can't get it to work unless I chmod 777 everything, which obiously is not what I want. 1) am I correct thinking that

Help pls. -- Samba permission question
Hi, All, I'm having a problem with my samba server(v3.6.9) setup. I have a share on the server: #cd / #mkdir managment #chown -R root:managegroup management #chowm -R 2770 management When I test this I found out: the managegroup member can create new file/dir with the correct permission: -rwxrws--- or drwxrws--- BUT, when the client copy a file or dir to the share from his local drive,

provisioning with vagrant-libvirt leaves .img file only readable by root
I'm using libvirt on Debian/stretch (testing) with vagrant and the vagrant-libvirt plugin. When I import a vagrant box (jessie64.box), the resulting file permssions let anyone in the "kvm" group read the img. But when I build upon that box, only root can read it: -rw------- 1 root root 20198785024 Sep 19 18:19 buildserver_default.img -rwxr--r-- 1 libvirt-qemu kvm

Problems with Group Ids and several samba servers
Hello List, we're having a problem mapping groups to a second server acting as a Fileserver. We use tdbsam with local users and groups on the pdc. We now want to add more servers to the setup, authenticating all users/groups via the domain. Adding the appropriate users and groups and do the mapping of uid and gid on the fileservers will be automatically done via ssh with a usradd.sh

Can't create folders in .wine/drive_c/users/public/App Data/...
OK, so I don't know what's going on. (even with tinyproxy/firehol off the following occurs). Unless wine is run by root, when WoW is first loaded and trying to login, WoW creates a Cache folder and a bunch of folders under cache for login purposes. The Cache folder exists in: <wine profile dir>/drive_c/users/Public/Applicatoin data/Blizzard Entertainment/Battle.net. Now it can

[LLVMdev] Saving a reference to a Basic Block?
Is there a way to save a reference to a Basic Block that gets all fixed up in the linker, so that you can branch to it during execution? (Or maybe just a better way to do what I'm trying to do?) In my old-school BASIC compiler that I'm writing with LLVM, for each GOSUB, I keep a map of an integer ID and a pointer to the basic block following the GOSUB to return to. Then, when a BASIC

System users, mbox format and global ACLs
I need some help here... ;-) I'm experimenting with global ACLs, but just fail to understand very basic behaviors. So, before digging into the source code, I would really be delighted if someone could immediately point a mistake I'm making and miserably overlooking. The output of dovecot -n is provided at the end of this email. Just in case, conforming to the suggestion made in

Hi; I have a matrix of 154 elements by 66241 sub-elements. The elements are chains of characters, sub elements are simply sub-chains of a certain length. For each element, I computed a count of the ocurrence of sub-elements (scan of strings). I thus have a matrix of numerical values (between 0 and max number of occurences). One the other hand, I computed distances and hierarchical clustering of

Subset and plot
Here is a runable program. When I plot Day and Wgt, it graphs all the data points. All I need is daily.sub1 plotted. I also need each "Tanks" to have its own col or pch. When I run it with the line with pch, it gives me nothing. rm(list=ls()) Trial<-rep(c(1,2),each=12) Tanks=rep(c("a3","a4","c4","h4"),each=3,2) Day=rep(c(1:12),2)

Problems with undef subranges in identity copies
Hi, I'm stuck trying to fix a variety of problems that occur with undef subregisters when the register coalescer eliminates identity copies. The fundamental problem is complexity from the fact that undef values are a special case since they don't have an associated VNInfo/Segment unless the value is used across blocks. For example, in this case, %0 has 2 subregisters sub0 and sub1:
