moving mail from private inbox to public folder kills the latter
Hi I've ran into something rather nasty: if a user moves a mail from its inbox to a public folder, the folder becomes inaccessible for others, because the moved file will have the the permission 600 instead of 777 (or 666) which the rest of the emails have in the folder. How can I change this behavior so when he moves the mail it automatically becomes world-readable? Also why one mail

2.0.7: emails read emails become unread
Hi My users are reporting that in public folders, emails that were past read suddenly got unread, sometimes even after marking them as read again. Didn't have such problems with 2.0.6 I think. My dovecot -n: # 2.0.7: /usr/local/etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS: Linux 2.6.26-2-xen-amd64 x86_64 Debian 5.0.6 auth_mechanisms = plain login disable_plaintext_auth = no listen = * mail_location =

IO rate quotas?
Hi Okay so we've been having this issue since forever and I figured why the heck not ask it here since it's mostly related to dovecot. The thing is, we have a huge amount of public folders (at the moment, around 1100). Now, with dovecot indexing and caching we're mostly okay, also being careful with things like Thunderbird 3's default 'Download everything' option

ov_raw_seek doesn't work ?
I found a problem with ov_raw_seek function in oggvorbis win32sdk 1.0. When i called this function it returned OV_EINVAL immediatelly. I solved the issue by replacing the ov_raw_seek by ov_pcm_seek, which worked perfectly, but i would like to use the raw variant due to performace reason . Is anybody aware of this strange behaviour ? Delete message
Hello, I'm seeing that our favourite pop3 server only deletes the messages upon logoff: dele 1 +OK Marked to be deleted. quit +OK Logging out, messages deleted. Connection closed by foreign host. This is causing me some trouble with a certain webmail app. Is there a way I can instruct Dovecot to immediatelly delete a message ? 10x, Marius

One resource immediately after another
I need to apply three resources one immediatelly after another. It''s a ifdown/ifup commands, and command to generate /etc/network/interfaces file. I need to do ifdown, then rebuild interfaces, then ifup. I try to add simple relationship, but in this case some File resources are trying to be applied between ifdown and ifup. So they can''t connect to Puppet master to verify

no bookeeping using public folders
Using dovecot 1.0.10. In the config: namespace public { separator = / hidden = no prefix = Flock/ location = maildir:/home/baratin/PublicMaildir:CONTROL=~/Maildir/control/Flock:INDEX=/var/dovecot/index/%u/Flock } This should be a public mail folder owned by "baratin", "read only" for all other users. Every user has his/her own control and index area

Weird graphical glitches while running notes.
My system is a debian/unstable box. I'm running daily cvs snapshots of wine and Lotus Notes R5.07. The problem is that it seems like wine isn't getting the redraw messages from the application or wine isn't sending the redraw messages to the application. So I get large areas of the program blank/black/see through to old gfx. It especially occurs with frames/framsets in notes. For

How to disable xen debugger?
Hi, I followed the instructions in tools/debugger/gdb/README to enable the xen debugging feature. But after that my system (a kernel module) works 10 times slower. Maybe the debugger slows down the running. What''s the right way to reverse and disable the debugger? I tried to disable the "Kernel hacking -> Compile the kernel with debug info [*]" option. But it does not help.

ACD Labs 12.0 installs fine, runs fine for the first time
Hi there, I am a relative Linux newbie and due to my work I use ACD Labs 12.0. This is a free for academia NMR processing software available only for windows. I am running it through a Virtual XP machine but I wanted to see if it would run using Wine. The program installed fine, and when I started it for the first time everything was swell. At last I could run pretty much everything I need from

ondelay parameter does not work with NUT on Raspbian and Eaton 5E850iUSBDIN UPS
Hi, I have the Eaton 5E850iUSBDIN UPS connected via USB to a Raspberry Pi 3B+. It seems that everything but the ondelay parameter works so far. when I test the setup with this command: upsmon -c fsd The NUT server makes the NUT clients shut down properly and the Raspberry Pi running the NUT server shuts down correctly too. The problem is that after UPS shuts down, it immediatelly brings the

Dom0 crashing on x86_64
I am seeing a problem with Dom0 crashing on x86_64 whenever I create a DomU. I''ve done some more testing, and it appears that this problem is somehow related to networking. Dom0 crashes as soon as the networking services are started when DomU is coming up. As an experiment, I brought up DomU without networking, and it stayed up. As soon as I started DomU with networking enabled, however,
