Last login script
I am trying to implement a last login script, however I seem to be having lots of issues. We started with sqlite but we were having locking issues, so we moved to postgresql which seems to have alleviated database specific issues, but now people are complaining about randomly not being able to log in. I don't see any real errors in the logs (dovecot or postgresql) to explain their complaints

How code for an exponential function
Hi,
I ran a linear regression on a data set and got an Rsq of about .27. The plot looks as though an exponential curve would be a better fit. What codes do I use to do this?
Thank you,

Can''t get shorewall to start...
And it looks like there''s a bug.
I have a "firewall" with a single ethernet interface that splits into a
network zone and a local zone and as a consequence I have a hosts file
with the following in it:
net eth0:!192.168.0.0/24
loc eth0:192.168.0.0/24
When I run shorewall start, I get an error, running in debug mode and
capturing the output give me:
+ run_iptables -A

According to the log file you attached, you're still using

hmmm. Just before we go any further, are you using Ices 0.3 with libshout

httpd ssl problems
Not much of a noob, but I will try.
I just configured httpd and installed mod_ssl and got my certificate from GoDaddy and put them on the server with ssl.conf pointing at them. I am getting this error:
SSLCertificateFile: file '/etc/pki/tls/certs/enmu.edu.crt' does not exist or is empty
It's a cute error. I have checked several times for misspellings, looked at the enmu.edu.crt

Well I think that I see where the problem is.. That is exactly right.
[root@wyatt icecast]# ices -c /home/icecast/ices.conf
Unknown Node: Server
Unknown Execution keyword: Base_Directory
<p>I dont think that ices is actually using the settings in the Server section of
the config file. That would explain why the passwords are different.

Plotting estimated betas, standard error
Hello,
I was wondering, is there a way to plot estimated betas and standard
deviations that I've generated?
Specifically, I have the following:
A matrix of estimated betas (two different betas, 4 different simulations -
categories).
A matrix of estimated standard errors corresponding to each of those betas.
I would like to plot the estimated beta, and make a confidence

First rails application
Hi guys,
I''ve just launched my first Ruby on Rails application so would
appreciate any feedback. It''s a viral idea about redefining words with
websites, so you can pick a word associated with your site and link it.

sanitizer test case failures after OS update
I updated one of my powerpc64le llvm test systems to Fedora 25 and I
started getting a whole bunch of sanitizer test case failures. I tried
testing some earlier revisions on the new OS that had worked fine under
the old but they generate the same errors now so it isn't any changes in
llvm.
There are two different errors:
FATAL: ThreadSanitizer: unsupported VMA range
FATAL: Found 47 -

godaddy & rails
Sorry to trouble the list with this question... Do many rails developers
run or test rails apps on godaddy hosted servers? Is there any
documentation (outside of what godaddy provides) about uploading and
testing rails apps there? Perhaps someone has written a tutorial? I
googled, but found little to no info about it other than the sparse
godaddy docs.
Thanks!

GoDaddy Woes
Has anyone had any luck setting up a Rails App using GoDaddy? I''m at my wits
end, I uploaded the site using the "instructions" in the Help Center but I
keep getting the
Application error

More GoDaddy Woes
My GoDaddy Rails site has been plugging away for a couple of weeks.
Its just a proof of concept with very little use. I haven''t updated
it or restarted FCGI at all. But today, it just quit working
altogether. In the error log, I''m getting:
(104)Connection reset by peer: FastCGI: comm with server
"dispatch.fcgi" aborted: read failed

good small registrar?
Greetings,
What are some registrars that members of this list have had good experience
with? I was stepping through the godaddy checkout process, and being
opted-in to a dozen different upsell features just left a bad impression.
But I have no clue who else to go with.

www.mydomain.org and mydomain.org should resolve to the same IP
Hi list,
I am having a debate with one of my clients where I administer their
domain and storage server but the website is hosted by godaddy.
thus www.mydomain.org goes to one of godaddy's servers but the
mydomain.org and mail.mydomain.org and ns1.mydomain.org all go elsewhere.
My website designer has been convinced by the godaddy web design team
that we should

[OT] Godaddy hell...
Can I get some recommendations:
We are looking for a hosting provider (other than godaddy) with
1: SLA
2: SSH access
3: subversion/rsync or the ability to install binaries / compile source.
Would like them to include http/https and email.
Any suggestions?

Noob, installing rails on a goDaddy virtual server?
Hi,
I''m completely new to all of this. Not even certain this is an
appropriate forum for an installation question.
I''m just about to plunk down some money to get a virtual server. In
looking over the list of isp''s elsewhere on this site, goDaddy isn''t
mentioned - probably because they don''t offer rails as a standard
distribution. There are some
