a problem in building dovecot @ opensolaris
Hi,
I'm trying to build dovecot from snapshot dovecot-20051215.tar.gz on
OpenSolaris Nevada build 28.
I have added to the PATH directories for make, gcc and automake/autoconf
(in BASH):
$ export PATH=/opt/sfw/bin:/usr/ccs/bin:/usr/sfw/bin:$PATH
then executed
---
$ aclocal
$ libtoolize --force
$ automake --add-missing
$ autoheader
$ autoconf
---
And then make finished with

Your install dir has a whitespace. Have you tried quoting? e.g.
<LLVMInstallDir>"C:\Program
Files (x86)\LLVM"</LLVMInstallDir>

Need help making lsof work with ZFS
I contacted the author of ''lsof'' regarding the missing ZFS support. The command works but fails to display any files that are opened by the process in a ZFS filesystem. He indicates that the required ZFS kernel structure definitions (header files) are not shipped with the OS. He further indicated that he rummaged through the OpenSolaris source tree and the files doesn''t

[LLVMdev] Windows Installer
Open the file toolset-vs2013.props and you'll understand what's happening
and where the path is set. It tries to fetch the LLVM installation path
from the Windows registry. Just fix this (maybe editing your registry or
editing the .props file, whatever suits you best).

I replaced all instances of "$(Platform)" with "x64" for the x64 .props
file and it still fails, so it looks like that guess was wrong as well.

[LLVMdev] size_t?
We inject a typedef for size_t here:
http://llvm.org/viewvc/llvm-project/cfe/trunk/lib/Sema/Sema.cpp?revision=218230&view=markup#l206
The typedef type is determined by calling getSizeType().
SizeType is (relevantly) calculated in two places:

Needed help to fix corrupted ext3 fs
I have been trying very hard to seek help with my very complex issue but
so far none have been successful. So I would like to try this mailing
list, maybe there are some experts who know what they're talking about.
Please refer to my experts-exchange question, all the required
information will be there. It is more practical to send you to the
webpage than paste out what I've done.

[RFC] klibc add minimal mntent.h
belows patch is a first step towards a mntent.h
we'll need it anyways later for mdadm support.
it allows to compile util-linux-ng mount against klibc.
due to the missing features there is a severe size difference:

packages and Solaris
Hi folks,
I''m about to propose to my current company that we use puppet to manage
releases of home grown software. The environment is a mix of Solaris
8/9/10 and RHEL 5&6.
I''ve got a handle on how to create recipes to release software into the
RHEL environment. The unknown for me is how to manipulate the pkgadd
provider to load the locally grown package stream. Can

Thanks for the input, but unless I'm doing something else screwy, that
does not appear to work here.
I put your line verbatim into my exlcude file (near the top)
/pkg/*
/sadm/*
/cache/*
/opt/csw/cache/*

I guess that this -/ syntax is not usable

Assigning variable names from one object to another object
Hello
I have 2 datasets say Data1 and Data2 both are of different dimesions.
Data1:
120 rows and 6 columns (Varname, Vartype, Labels, Description, ....)
The column Varname has 120 rows which has variable names such id, age,
gender,.....so on
Data2:
12528 rows and 120 columns
The column names in this case are V1, V2, ......... V120 (which are default

[e2fsprogs-1.24] "fsck -A -a" fails on reboot
Dear Ted,
I upgraded e2fsprogs and util-linux to the latest versions, as per the
instructions on the "ext3 for 2.4" page, to make the switching between
ext2-only and ext3-enabled kernels seamless.
Now that if the filesystems have not been unmounted cleanly, due to a
power failure for example, "fsck -A -a" cannot continue after checking
the root filesystem on reboot, issuing

initrd / initramfs future
Hello,
I would like to know if initrd is here to stay, now that klibc and
initramfs are ready.
As the multipath-tools maintainer, I'm facing the choice to
1) put the multipath configuration tool in the initrd
* dynamic binary is possible
* storage hba drivers as modules loaded
* no klibc limitations (no mntent for libsysfs ...)
2) put the multipath configuration tool in the initramfs

[mntent]: line x in /etc/fstab is bad
Hi !
I'm having trouble trying to mount a win2k share from my linux box
with the mount command.
My linux box is a RH 7.2 and samba version is 2.2.4.
It is part of the windows domain 'VALBONE' and the smb.conf option
"winbind use default domain" is set to yes.
So when the user slautier log into the machine, it does it without
specifying the domain name.

[PATCH 0/3] kinit: Allow mount options
This patch series allows user-specified mount commands to be
sent in via kernel command line ("kinit_mount=...") or via
an embedded /etc/fstab file.
The first patch is a cleanup of a patch sent last November
by San Mehat (http://web.archiveorange.com/archive/v/EazJNBMORV2U7E0coh5h);
the next two are small improvements or bug fixes.
