http://dovecot.org/releases/2.0/rc/dovecot-2.0.rc5.tar.gz http://dovecot.org/releases/2.0/rc/dovecot-2.0.rc5.tar.gz.sig Unfortunately v2.0.0 has to be delayed a while longer, because I found that there were still problems in plugin hook handling when using more than 2 plugins. Hopefully it's now finally fully fixed, but I'd like to be sure and wait for one more week to see if people can

dovecot: auth: Fatal: sql_driver_register(mysql): Already registered
Hi, i've been using dovecot2 on our server for handling virtual mailboxes and postfix is also using it to examine if a mail has to be delivered locally or not. Recently i upgraded to 2.0.7 (freebsd ports), but it stopped working, says the error in the subject line. Details: [root at postfixjail /usr/local/etc/dovecot]# dovecot --version 2.0.7 [root at postfixjail /usr/local/etc/dovecot]#

Upgrading from 2.0.1 to 2.0.3
What has changed in 2.0.3 to make dovecot start storing the inbox in a "com" subdirectory of "user at domain"directory in the inbox folder? I am guessing I need to add ":INBOX=/home/mail/%d/%n/mail/" to: mail_location = maildir:/home/mail/%d/%n/mail:CONTROL=/home/mail/control/%d/%n:INDEX=/home/mail/index/%d/%n The inbox was never defined as it automatically put

EVERYONE USING DOVECOT PLEASE SIGN: Thanks, Administrators of Dovecot!
With the release of dovecot 2.0, the community of the Dovecot mailling list, and us at Shelton Computers, would sincerely like to thank the developers of Dovecot. For, if it were not for you, we would be stuck with Courier and would not have the impressive features of Sieve, as opposed to the unmanageable scripts, by end users, of maildrop. *Our gratitude goes to, but not limited to:* *Timo

Dovecot Upgrade Manual for 2.0 from 1.2.14 snapshot
Is there a reference manual for changes in configuration between dovecot 1.2.X to 2.0 rc5. I know there is a config upgrade tool but I would rather learn the new changes and then implement them? -- Jerrale G. Jerrale G. SC Senior Admin

ATTN TIMO: Man pages of "deliver"
The man pages of "man deliver" do not explain the "-n" option which is confusing a lot of people as to why mailboxes and mail folders aren't being automatically created; yet, the dovecot wiki's both say to use "-n" in postfix's master.cf which keeps dovecot's lda from automatically creating the folders. People are pulling hair over this! The

Dovecot 1.2 with MySQL limit Trash folder
Hi All, I need your help to limit the size of the Trash folder. I want to exclude the Trash folder in my user quota. But I do not want the Trash folder can not exceed 10M for example. I can manage to exclude the size of the Trash folder. But I can not limit the size of the folder. On my test, I've bytes=512000 for the Trash folder. But the user can move more that 512000B on the Trash folder

Searching dovecot Maildir
Hi All, Loving Dovecot after several years with Cyrus. This might be more a general question, but this seemed the best place to ask. The idea is to just add up all the values of quotes I've sent in a month. I want to search my Sent mail folder for all messages with a certain subject, then "grep" out a certain line that has a dollar ($) figure, and add up those figures. The idea

Fail2ban
I have fail2ban working for EVERYTHING else except dovecot. I have tried using my own custom regex in conjunction with the regex on the dovecot.org site. Neither are picked up by fail2ban and I'm trying to use an imminent attack agaist dovecot, going on now, to my advantage to see when I get the right regexp. Here are my current ones: failregex = .*dovecot: (?:pop3-login|imap-login):

Hi Timo, I'm playing with Dovecot v1.2.beta2 currently. When the dict process was started via deliver(?) and Dovecot is killed (kill $PID_OF_DOVECOT) after delivering only one message, it logs: Fatal: io_loop_handle_add: epoll_ctl(1, 10): Bad file descriptor If the dict process was not started or deliver has delivered more than one message, the error doesn't occur. Pigeonhole feature request: automatically copy sieve_global_path (default script) to user's sieve_dir
We have used the great managesieve you have merged together, with sieve, to create pigeonhole. However, when a user creates a custom script through a GUI of ours, the default, as we expected, would be ignored. Maybe you could add a retain_sieve_global=yes|no setting OR be more complex by having the sieve_global_dir copied to the users sieve_dir on first managesieve script save, if another
