Can't get Thunderbird 2 to delete a folder under mdbox (Dovecot 2.0beta5)
Can't get Thunderbird 2 to delete a folder under mdbox (Dovecot 2.0beta5)
I have built Dovecot 2.0 and installed it under "/opt/dovecot2".
I have done the minimum configurations necesary to get it to work with
SSL, systems users but with a secondary password database, and set up
mail location as "mdbox:~/dbox".
I had to create the directory "dbox" in the

autocreating folders with special chars stored in mysql-userdb
Hello,
i use dovecot 2.2.18 and do some tests with an utf8 mysqlbackend.
I use MySQL to authenticate Users and for retrieving some individual
settings like autocreating folders etc. by userdb-settings in user-query.
Yet no problems with standard language. Now i try to provide
userdb-settings in exotic languages.
My MySQL table uses utf8 charset. I store some data in my userdb-column.

sieve - find in header
Hello list,
have a problem with sieve script. I want to perform an action if an
arbitrary headerline contains a defined string.
I tried with regex:
if header :regex [".*"] ["searchstri.*"]
{
fileinto "junk";
}
This is not working because regex is only used in 2nd argument
["searchstri.*"]
In 1st argument [".*"] no regex is used, sieve

Get rid of the "dbox-Mails"-folder
Hey to all,
is it possible to get rid of the "dbox-Mails"-folder when using sdbox?
Currently my folder structure looks like this (I hope the output from
tree would be formatted well):
/srv/mail/
??? example.com
??? ??? user
??????? ??? dovecot-acl-list
??????? ??? dovecot-attributes
??????? ??? dovecot.list.index.log
??????? ??? dovecot.mailbox.log
??????? ???

Get rid of the "dbox-Mails"-folder
Hey again,
sorry, but I have to correct me: Even with dot it's not working
completely. The subscriptions file is not created and the dovecot-acl
file has the wrong path, too.
:-(

sieve - editheader - edit in place
Hello,
i do some tests with sieve editheader extensions. deleteheader and
addheader are working, but i noticed that new headerlines are always
prepended to current header. So new lines can be found always on top. I
am looking for a possibility to edit a headerline in place, without
moving the new line to top of stack(replaceheader?). It is not looking
good if a Subject-Line suddenly moves to

reload without shutting imap connections down
Hello,
we have some problems with users who report connectionproblems to dovecot
sometimes. According to the logs there are dovecot reloads at this times.
Seems that a reload also causes dovecot to shut all imapconnections down:
Jul 16 13:31:40 myhostname dovecot: master: Warning: SIGHUP received -
reloading configuration
Jul 16 13:31:40 myhostname dovecot: imap: Server shutting down.
