[fdo] Request to host project "OpenSync" a synchronization framework
Hi i am Armin Bauer, one of the developers of Multisync, an application to sync various pdas, cellulars and other programs (see www.multisync.org for further information) We recently ran into design limitations with our current version, which was where we decided to develop a new major version of Multisync. I started working on the new design but quickly noticed to there are a lot of other

NV43: Native resolution not available on Dell 2007FP
I have a Dell 2007FP monitor. NV43 (GeForce 6600) can not use the native resolution. 1600x1200 is listed under "DDC gathered Modelines" with the rest of the info, but then is missing from "probed modes". I have a secondary card, NV4a (GeForce 6200, PCI). It works with this card. This card does not show "DDC gathered modelines" at all, and 1600x1200 is listed

Can you try something very simple - unplug the cable, and plug it back in, while the TV is on, and set to the HDMI input? That should ensure that the SCDC write can go through at modeset time. You can also force nouveau to avoid any modes that require scrambling by booting with nouveau.hdmimhz=340. Cheers, -ilia On Tue, Aug 6, 2019 at 1:15 PM James <bjlockie at lockie.ca> wrote: >

Switch to Nvidia from ATI
I am having some issues (e.g. System lock ups) with my ATI 9250 Video card. I am thinging about replacing it with either a Nvidia FX5200, FX5500, or a FX5600 card. command-line editing
hello, I've had compiled Version 0.90.1 (December 15, 1999) on an i586 running GNU/Linux (RedHat 5.2-patched with 6.* pieces) last night. Everything seems to work fine but it's impossible to use command-line editing (on the linuxconsole, xterm, rxvt). It just looks like > a <- 1 > ^[[A^[[A^[[A after pressing arrow-up, left or right On the console i've got $ echo $TERM

SAS and RODBC
I am using R-2.10.1 binary from CRAN on a WinXP Pro system. I also use SAS v9.2 on the same box. I just started using the SAS ODBC driver that comes with version 9 of SAS. I have been able to set up an ODBC source for SAS datasets using the driver, and then with RODBC I am able to read a sample SAS dataset. > library(RODBC) > ch <- odbcConnect('sasodbc', believeNRows=FALSE)

Not sure how the monitor resolution is detected - This monitor is supposed to do 3480x1200 60hz 4:4:4 But the info I get from hwinfo is different. How does nouveau get this information? If it is from an ID - with a list - the list is probably is wrong. # hwinfo --monitor 95: None 00.1: 10002 LCD Monitor [Created at

Problem with dovecot on home LAN
At present I get email directly on my laptop in /var/spool/mail/* through uucp. I'd like to get the email in the same directory on my desktop (alfred), and then run a mail server on the destop and collect the email on my laptop (william) (or on other computers on my two little home LANs, ethernet and WiFi). I was advised that dovecot was a good imap server for this purpose (I tried

xmlToDataFrame#Help!!!#follow-up
Dieter Menne pointed out that the (small) xml attachment didn't make it. Here is an in-line version (see end of message). Let's hope it works this time. I'm struggling with interpreting XML files created by ADODB as data.frames and I'm looking for advice. Note: This xlm contains a result set which comes from a rectangular data array. I've been trying to play with
