CentOS 4.3/postfix/procmail lock failures
Hello,
What is the proper solution to the problem below the sig?
For a similar issue, Phillip Guenther, procmail's maintainer, at
<http://article.gmane.org/gmane.mail.procmail/1623/match=error+writing+var+spool+mail>
suggests "chmod g+s /usr/bin/procmail", but I'm reluctant.
There are also suggestions that in this configuration the packager must
make certain that

Per a discussion with an Internet2 professor this PM:
ACHTUNG: Note the repo is apparently without SRPMs so it becomes
difficult to vet.
Further, no mirrors have been spotted, which is not to say there

We haven't had a lot of demand for Fedora...people seem okay with CentOS!
That just in from chunkhost.com, where you help them beta test Xen for $FREE :)

remote install/upgrade of FC3 name server to CentOS 4 or 5
Hello,
Does anyone know of a good URL that covers the remote install/upgrade
of a FC3 system to CentOS 4 or 5?
We have one physically stranded FC3 system which is a name server and
we need to upgrade to remove vulnerabilities.
Kind regards/ldv

merging Maildir from old machine to new machine
Dovecot version 1.0.rc26.
Situation is essentially a forklift upgrade to make more horsepower
available for email.
Given a new mail store using Postfix and Dovecot (Maildir), is it
possible to transfer from the old mail box (running the same config)
or will this generate problems with the various indices maintained by
Dovecot?
Kind regards and thanks/ldv

recovery from loss of libssl.so.4?

Hi,
We're new to dovecot and like what we see so far, but Google doesn't
seem to have much on this error message.
What are the likely causes?

Blasphemous? any support for a REPO of current edition BIND, et al (e.g., BZ561299)?
Hello CentOS Community Members,
What is RH's be-all end-all justification for staying with an ancient
code base for such important programs as BIND et al?
A similar problem (to BZ561299) was first reported five (5) years ago
on the isc.org mailing list.
Is there any support among the CentOS community for a REPO of current
vintage for such important functions as BIND et al?
That question is

Gnu Screen - terminal issues
I really like gnu screen and use it everyday but there's one thing
that is a bit inconvenient, and that's the odd line wrapping and
terminal size issues that seem to pop up. The problem crops up when I
type or paste a really long command, and then go back and try to edit
it; the text starts to wrap over itself and you have no idea what you
are editing. Any fixes for this?

SQLite with PHP5 problem
Has anyone ever installed PHP5 with SQLiteDatabase class support in CentOS
4.3?
I have to run a program with this class for a core feature.
But unfortunately, both the php 5.0.4 package in centosplus and a SRPM build
from FC5 will not work with this class.
With the error "undefined class SQLiteDatabase"!
And there *IS* the "pdo_sqlite.so" extension in my php.d/pdo.ini file, as
