reported about dsync and I'm hopeful that it's now stable. All the rest
of Dovecot looks pretty good too. Maybe v2.0.0 will be out next week.

RTFM: Manual pages for Dovecot v2.0
Hello Dovecot admins.
I've started writing manual pages for Dovecot v2.0. I'm sure they are
not perfect yet.
I'd like to ask you all to read the manual pages. It would be nice to
get some ideas/suggestions/improvements. So that that the Dovecot v2.0.0
release could be distributed with /fine manuals/.
The manual pages are available at: http://wiki2.dovecot.org/ManPages

http://dovecot.org/releases/2.0/rc/dovecot-2.0.rc5.tar.gz.sig
Unfortunately v2.0.0 has to be delayed a while longer, because I found
that there were still problems in plugin hook handling when using more
than 2 plugins. Hopefully it's now finally fully fixed, but I'd like to
be sure and wait for one more week to see if people can

mdbox expunge purge question
Hi,
I'm testing Dovecot 2.0rc2 with mdbox mail format and I'm not sure
what this exactly means:
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/MailboxFormat/dbox
Quote from wiki page:
=====
Expunging a message only decreases the message's refcount. The space
is later freed in "purge" step. This may be done automatically within
the session or later in a nightly cronjob when there's less

Building package compatible w/ R v1.9.1 and R v2.0.0?
Hi,
just in the process of updating my packages for R v2.0.0 and I have not had
time to followed the R v2.0.0 discussions so maybe my questions have already
been answered.
A concern I have is that when creating packages they should be backward
compatible with R v1.9.x for a while until all users and computers has
migrated to R v2.0.x. It is pretty straightforward to setup my packages so

zlib error when running doveadm
Upgraded to dovecot 2.2.4 from 2.1.16
Error I see is:
doveadm(root): Error: Module is for different ABI version 2.1.16 (we
have 2.2.ABIv3(2.2.4)):
/usr/local/lib/dovecot/doveadm/lib10_doveadm_zlib_plugin.so
How do I resolve this?
Configure options:
./configure --with-bzlib --with-ssl --with-mysql --with-zlib --with-pam

Quotas not working after reboot
Hello,
after rebooting my dovecot server quotas are no longer working.
# dovecot --version
2.2.10
CentOS Linux release 7.0.1406
It is strange that restarting dovecot did not reveal this problem, but rebooting whole server did.
Before reboot it was like this:
# doveadm -D quota get -u test1 at testdomain1.tld
doveadm(root): Debug: Loading modules from directory: /usr/lib64/dovecot

Convert standalone mbox to standalone Maildir with Dsync - hierarchy separator error
Dear Dovecot users/devs,
I have the following mbox file:
/tmp/dsync_test/mbox/2002-September
I would like to convert it to a Maildir:
/tmp/dsync_test/maildir
(Currently, the latter is just an empty directory.)
I am attempting this on an old PC running Debian 9 ("Stretch"). I
installed the dovecot-core package in order to make the `dsync` tool
available on that PC. I have

Benchmarking
I wasted too much time today doing this, but they do show a few
interesting things:
1) mmap_disable=yes is faster than mmap_disable=no. I didn't expect
this. I'm not yet sure why this is, but possibly because then it updates
the mail index by reading the changes from dovecot.index.log, instead of
reopening and re-mmaping dovecot.index. At least that's the biggest
difference between
