Coredump while searching a folder
Hi, while searching through the message bodies in a real folder I got a coredump. I used the master user for this operation. dovecot.index* files have been removed before I started this operation. This looks a bit different to my previous report. Coredump: Program terminated with signal 6, Aborted. [New process 1628] #0 0x00002b5e82a8ced5 in raise () from /lib/libc.so.6 #0 0x00002b5e82a8ced5

Crash while accessing mdbox folders
Hi, I've converted some accounts with "dsync mirror maildir:~/Maildir". system_groups_user syntax especially in LDAP
so if possible, I'd like an example of how to include system_groups_user in the userdb setup. I'm using ldap, but I could revert to using pam on ldap. There is a ldap query (gleaned from smbldap-tools) that will return a list of groups for a user (&(objectclass=posixGroup)(memberuid=%u)) but I don't know if the ldap driver will handle it but above all I can't figure out how

dsync duplicates messages/crashed if a 'large' number of messages has been deleted
Hi, I try to mirror two dovecots with: dsync -v -f -u login mirror ssh -o IdentityFile=/etc/dovecot/dsync.d/id_rsa root at shrike dsync -u login This usually works, but if I delete a certain number of emails, I get this messages: dsync-local(mailverwalter): Info: Posteingang: Ignored 178 modseq changes dsync-local(mailverwalter): Info: Posteingang: Couldn't keep all uids

coredump while accessing virtual folder with dovecot 2.0
Hi, I get a core dump with 2.0.beta6 (573cb66e9180) when I access virtual folders with the master user. Since ACLs are active I have to set a global ACL in .DEFAULTS to access all folders. Coredump: Core was generated by `dovecot/imap'. Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault. [New process 15910] #0 0x00002afabdfbd6a2 in virtual_config_free (mbox=0x10a34128) at

ldap questions
Hello, I've some questions concerning ldap. 1. I think ldap attributes doesn't have a certain order, at least, all ldap editors that I use can't define an order. But it seems that the attribute order is relevant for entries like AstAccountDisallowedCodec and AstAccountAllowedCodec. 2. Is it possible to use templates with sipeers/users stored in ldap? like

Give users Power user access level to local machines.
OK I have searched high and low and have not found anything that works. We are running a software program which requires the user to have Power User access level on the local machine. The machines are Win2K sp3 and they are logging into a ADC which is Red Hat 9 (Shrike) and Samba Version 2.2.7a-security-rollup-fix. I have been able to setup the ADC and all users have "User" level access

Redhat firewall problem...
I've just tried setting up a Shrike (9) version of Redhat. Using the medium settings of lokkit, then adding manually accept commands for ports 137/udp 138/udp, 139/tcp and 445/tcp, I thought I should have been ready to go. This isn't the case, however. I know it's not the smb.conf settup because when I kill iptables samba works. When iptables IS running however, it will respond

Fatal: setgid from userdb lookup fails with wrong gid
Hello all, I'm quite new as well to Dovecot, just installed it on a FreeBSD system with Postfix and Rspamd as side apps. Things are running semi-smoothly for all users but I do have quite a few errors in the logs : Oct 13 19:43:56 apollo dovecot[24478]: imap(user1)<34412><zIeI9ZCxXDmsFhZG>: Fatal: setgid(1030(user1) from userdb lookup) failed with euid=1022(user4),

Fatal: setgid from userdb lookup fails with wrong gid
Hi, Not sure if this is it, but I used to have the same error when I started with dovecot. Aki's response was the following (and solved my problem). ------------- Hi! You can't set service imap { service_count = 256 } if you are using multiple system UIDs. See https://wiki.dovecot.org/Services#imap.2C_pop3.2C_submission.2C_managesieve *service_count* can be changed from 1 if only a

"wbinfo -u" considered harmful towards Winbindd...
Our setup: Windows AD realm with ~115K users (and numerous groups etc) FreeBSD servers with Samba 4.7.6 and Samba 4.9.3 (both show the same growth) We just noticed that one of the ‘winbindd’ daemons on the servers seems to be growing and growing forever. A bit of detective work pointed us at the “wbinfo -u” command being that culprit. As part of a systems monitoring script we ran that once a

Using dapptrace. Can't seem to trace user functions with defaults or specifying -u<lib>
Hi Folks, I''m trying to get to grips with dapptrace, running it on my Mac. Everything seems pretty straightforward, except for - of course - what I''m trying to do. I want to focus in on my code but I can''t seem to be able to output just the functions I want, i.e. user functions. The -U option gives everything. Too much of course. Leaving that blank means the
