what happened to smbclient?
I noticed lots of smbclient options are missing in Samba 3.0.14a when
compared to 3.0.13 - notably, all user/authentication options - so I can't
connect now as a specified user anymore.
Is it just my build, or is it "official"?

[LLVMdev] Why are the tablegen files excluded from source lists/
My problem is that the .td and .h files are not shown as sources
in the codeblocks (.cbp) output generated by cmake. I’m consuming
the .cbp file with Qt Creator - it’s seems to be an otherwise
excellent tool for llvm development.
It seems that the culprit is llvm_process_sources
function in cmake/modules/LLVMProcessSources.cmake.
The addition of .td sources and header files is wrapped

sendmail and spamassassin
I have a problem getting spamd and sendmail (both stock CentOS4 rpms)
to work together on a couple of smtp relay machines. This is clearly
a configuration issue and no doubt revolves around my lack of
comprehension of how this is to work.
Basically, the setup consists of two frontend public smtp transports
that redirect all email through a firewall to an internal imap server

Dear List,
We have lots of issues running Glusterfs over Infiniband. The client
can mount the share, but when trying to access it by ls, df, touch du

Help in starting spamassassin
I have installed spamassassin, per the instructions on Scalix's wiki,
and it is working, with some important caviats. So I asked for help on
the spamassassin user list, and got some, but I think I am butting up
against some Centos specific issues...
This is what I am seeing in the maillog:

spamassassin, postfix with dovecot lda?
Hi all,
I am trying to setup a mail server using postfix (virtual_mailboxes),
spamassassin and dovecot, along with SQL where appropriate. From my
research so far I realized that, for several reasons, it is required for
me to use dovecot LDA instead of maildrop, local, procmail or other
alternatives.
My configuration was working flawlessly, until spamassassin per-user
configuration came to

auth-master: Permission denied [sigh]
I've been messing with this for too long, now, and I'm blind to whatever's
wrong. Or I'm simply being dense. Either way, I need help with a common
issue.
I'm trying to get Postfix+Spamassassin+Dovecot going on Fedora 10. (I'll
get back to the global Sieve thingy soon, but I need to get this going,
first.)
When using the simple:

clarifications
Hello all,
I've been trying to get spamassassin and clamav working, but got
really confused when I realized there are various incarnations of the
software. Originally, I started out with just spamassassin, but learned
there is also an SA-milter. Can someone tell me which of the various
spam fighting packages i.e., sa, sa-milter, clamav, clamave-milter, and
so forth? I ran into

Getting Spam Assassin and Amavis working
Okay, y'all know that I've been working on a script to auto-setup an email
server. (updated script at:
http://www.benjamin.weiss.name/mail-server.sh )
I've been trying to get Spam Assassin to work correctly with amavisd and
razor. To test, I've taken email from my current email server that has a
score of 9 or more and tried emailing it to the new server, but it doesn't

Use postfix and spamd on CentOS 6 - looking for a shortest guide
Hello fellow CentOS-users,
on the net there are lots of Spamassassin related HOWTOs - describing how
to create a shell script for Postfix and how to install Spamassassin and
start its spamd daemon - step by step. Additionally antivirus setups are
described...
But I have a strong feeling, that this is unneeded on CentOS 6 - because
there are already preconfigured stock packages for postfix and

dbus support in dovecot?
Greetings;
I am trying to transition from ubu10.04.4 LTS to ubu12.04.2 LTS, but in the
changeover I want to setup dovecot as a local only imap server so that I
can read & respond to email from any of the other 4 or so machines on my
local net.
To that end, and given that I have a well working setup right now, using
fetchmail driving mailfilter as a pre-check, procmail as the MTA

Evolution Slowness Fix
Well, I seem to have tracked down what's going on with Evolution and
Dovecot.
It seems that Evolution has defaulted to checked for spam server side
using Spamd on Fedora Core 3 without downloading the mail. It seems that
spamd is the culprit in all this as it's trying to analyze pop3 mail
without simply downloading all the new mail.
I turned off the spam checking option in evolution and

Centos 7 specific cure for Spamassassin DNS lookup problem
I have the following error message in my /var/log/spamd
spf: lookup failed: available_nameservers: No DNS servers available!
Having Googled the error message I've found a number of responses which
involve patching Perl or Spamassassin or other cures.
Before I start changing things I was wondering if there was a Centos 7
specific resolution. Where possible, on production machines I prefer

Need advice please
Hi All,
I have a system running (home based) Centos latest fully patched, etc that is
acting as quasi mail server dhcp and name server. My question deals with
mail. This is how it is currently set up.
Because I travel for work weeks on end, I have fetchmail on my mail server,
set up to poll my isp and download all my mail from work and personal isp.
In this way my mail queues at work and

spamassassin is now reporting Unix domain sockets in the rport field.
I'm not exactly sure what changed to cause this to happen; it started
after an upgrade whose only remotely relevant package was razor.
I think the following pattern in ignore.d.server/spamd will work

Dovecot-deliver sometimes fails when message set to discard via sieve
Hi, sometimes mails that i discard via sieve gets delivered to my inbox
and i can not figure out why. So i hope you can give me a hint.
My setup is:
I use a self compiled dovecot 1.2.4 with installed sieve and managesieve
plugin.
Incoming mails a processed by Postfix and the delivered to Procmail.
Procmail invokes Spamassassin and discard all mails marked as spam. The
other mails are passed to
