Bug in find command?
I'm going to bugz this if no one tells me I made another brain-damaged error here. Also, if I can get one confirmation, it'll let me breath easier. I ran a version searching for ".cmd" and ".c" just trying to convince myself I'm not *that* brain-damaged. You'd think after all these years that regex compilation would be pretty darn stable... Oh! Forgot it was

updating to 6.4 broke olvwm/openwin
This morning a handful of workstations got upgraded from 6.3 to 6.4 and things seemed to be functional, until we tried to log in to one of our instrument accounts that for various reasons uses olvwm/openwin as the desktop (and no, I don't have the option of changing that at this time). The desktop appears to load correctly, and mouse-focus and clicking appears to work, but the

xloadimage in centos 5.1
I have noticed that xloadimage rpm is not in centos 5.1 I use the command "xview -identity" to get the size of gifs, jpgs, and pngs. xview is part of the xloadimage package. The command "file filename" also reports sizes for gifs and pngs BUT not for jpgs. Is there an alternative command to use to report gif jpg and png sizes? I thought about just getting an older

YUM Plugins: I seem to be "unplugged"?
Have followed all instructions, googled and read Johnny's November post, went to Duke (not physically, web-spherically, although it's only 45 minutes away),... and still can't see how I have protectbase operational. Installed: [root at wlmlfs08 ~]# yum -C --disablerepo=rpmforge list|grep yum centos-yumconf.noarch 4-4.5 installed yum.noarch

Samba 4.10.8 and 4.9.13 for rhel7/centos7 rpms
Hi everyone, In case anyone's interested, I've posted the rpm builds of samba 4.10.8 that I'm using on RHEL7.7. (I run these in VMs, serving as AD DCs for my SOHO). These rpms use the default python2 from the system. The 4.10.x SPEC file is now more closely aligned with upstream (Fedora SPEC file) and I've yet to test these builds using the system's python3 on RHEL7.

Samba 4.11.3, 4.10.11 and 4.9.17 for Centos7/RHEL7
Hi everyone, I've posted some rpm builds of samba 4.11.3, 4.10.11 and 4.9.17 for RHEL/Centos 7.x (currently 7.7). The 4.11 rpms use the python3 and python3-devel rpms introduced in the standard RHEL/Centos repos at the same time as the 7.7 version. Comments and/or testing feedback would be most welcomed. http://nova.polymtl.ca/~coyote/dist/samba/samba-4.11.3

sssd not a good idea
That's clearly a documentation bug. As for the samba integration, it's now in its own guide: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/7/html/windows_integration_guide/index (this is what I followed on 7.5/7.6 to consume realmd). Let me open a BZ about this... Regards, Vincent On Wed, 12 Jun 2019, Rowland penny via samba wrote: > On 12/06/2019 16:31,

Samba 4.8.10 for rhel7/centos7 rpms
Adding Alexander (cc'ed, thank you) Hi Sergio, I found some hints (dating back almost a year ago) about why gnutls-3.4 might be needed: https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba-technical/2018-April/127282.html I don't know how much of this still holds true (I've been running an AD DC with rhel7's gnutls 3.3.z for over a year without apparent issues). cutting corners (4.10.2 on el7.6)
Hi All, I'm not well versed in the samba code base so I'm asking here.. :) I only wanted to run a small AD/DC for my SOHO (1 spouse, 3 kids, 1 dog & 1 cat). I've managed to build 4.10.2 on rhel7.6 with gnutls-3.3.29 and python-2.7. (this required an updated cmocka, which in turn required an updated cmake) but... building without testsuite and without clustering (ctdb) allows
