WG: After Upgrade to Samba-4.3.4
What I have done bevor updating to 4.3.4 and it was working until then.
I userd the map unix tab in ADUC and gave uid and gid to all users /groups but administrator.
This worked until the update. Now the dcs mix up only!!! group ids with computer ids (security tab)

GPO Permissions _AGAIN_
Hi all,
I'm afraid I'm back to my old issue of GPO permissions.
I have two ADDCs providing an AD Domain (internal.stmaryscollege.co.uk
(short-name 'SMC')). Servers are called 'ad-01' and 'tainan'. ad-01 is
'Version 4.0.10' and tainan is 'Version 4.1.0rc4' (the latest version in
the package repos of the respective OSs (arch and gentoo))

Access denied to change share security staff
Hello all;
I have problem with shares in a domain member used as file server (I want to use it like that)
I check from samba wiki some test that you suggest and all have been pass well. I try to make a new share using POSIX ACL and still not access.
To make the share and apply the permissions and owners:
[root at gtmpve lib]# mkdir -p /compartido/prueba/
[root at gtmpve lib]# chmod 2770

Behavior of acl_xattr:ignore system acls = yes on a share
Hi folks,
It seems that the setting acl_xattr:ignore system acls = yes reduces
Windows compatibility when defined for a share. In all attempts I have
used Windows tools (except editing smb.conf)
Assume there is a share, where the files and folders in the share root
should at least be readable by anybody having access to the share. For
the sake of simplicity the following permissions apply on

Mac OS X and ACL's
Hi all,
I have a server that has ACL's enabled on it and the groups are set properly from the domain that are applied on top of it for the shared folders. I am running with Mac OS X 10.10.5 on the client side and am having nothing but issues with getting them to respect the ACL's set on the files.
The Server Setup is as follows:
Domain Server: Debian 7.9 with Samba 4.3.4

Shares requiring "Everyone" access...
I believe I have found either a bug or something I do not understand. I
recently had a file-share issue and the resolution was to set the
"others" permissions to 5, read and execute. The problem with this is
that once I am in Windows on a workstation, this appears to allow
"Everyone", "CREATOR OWNER", and "CREATOR GROUP" access. We normally

File Server member DC ACL permissions

How do I do this uidNumber configuration?
I'm running all services: smbd, nmbd and winbind
It's hard to run the file server as a domain member. When was a file server with DC was much more easy.
