Selective Sendmail Relaying.
Hi all,
I've been trying to hit on the right configuration combo to allow
relaying from specific users and/or domains to an internal box running
Sendmail.
Reading the docs at http://www.sendmail.org/m4/anti_spam.html#relay
and http://www.sendmail.org/m4/anti_spam.html#access_db_fine
I would appear that I should be able to all per-address relaying in
/etc/mail/access by enabling

configuring sendmail to work with dovecot+LDAP
I would like to setup dovecot (1.1.20) with LDAP virtual users,
but I don't seem to understand how to get my sendmail to accept
mail for the virtual users.
(I am rather new to this, so I may have some misunderstandings)
I have followed - wiki.dovecot.org/HowTo/DovecotOpenLdap
(OpenLDAP 2.3.43)
and I think I have IMAP working for virtual users.
I can connect to port 143, enter a username and

help for creating sendmail virtual users
hey friends,
I have installed sendmail or it would rather say it comes default with the
centos. I am using Centos4.0 and I am trying to configure sendmail
with virtual users.
I have created few users for my domain. My internal domain (example.com) is
different from my isp domain (example1.com).
The problem I am facing is that if the user1 at example1.com sends the mail to
the user2 at

I set my sendmail.mc file to have a SMART_HOST entry of mail.xyz.com

a connection.
however when I do a test mail - its trying to RELAY to another host.

FreeBSD-Update + Sendmail
I have been updating my FreeBSD systems for many years by updating and
building from source. For the FreeBSD 9.2 cycle, I decided to use
freebsd-update for binary update instead. I use Sendmail + Cyrus-SASL and
the freebsd-update process only installed a 'bare bones' binary. How do I
compile just Sendmail from source so that it uses my /etc/make.conf for the
smtp_auth components?

python-interactive for CentOS/EL 4
Hi all,
Could anyone point me in the right direction for a package that
provides the 'interactive' module for Python? I need to do some SSH
stuff in Python so I grabbed python-paramiko from RPMForge (as always,
thanks Dag & co.). Paramiko appears to be dependent on python-crypto
but the RPM doesn't require it..

Will there be a matching DRBD kernel module package for the latest
kernel that is in the updates repository?
The kernel version in the updates is:
kernel-smp-2.6.9-34.0.1.EL.i686.rpm but I don't see a matching DRBD
module in updates.

sendmail not sending after reboot
HI folks,
I've an up-to-date CentOS 5.x box on a small intranet (<20 users).
We did a reboot over the weekend and all appears well except that
clients on the LAN can no longer send email. Just hangs/times out. No
clear identifiers in the /var/log/maillog or /var/log/messages.
We're not setup for ESMTP as it's a closed network and I'm really hoping

sendmail routing
CentOS 4.8, sendmail 8.13
Hi All:
I have a couple of questions regarding the routing of outgoing emails.
I have spent several hours doing Google searches but I have not come
close to what I am looking for. If someone can give me push in the
right direction I would greatly appreciate it.
We currently have three domain names (two for our development company
and one for our production company). We

Dovecot Virtual Users & Sendmail
Not directly Dovecot, but a configuration problem.
We have a working set-up with Dovecot+Procmail+Sendmail, using
POP-before-SMTP. We want to be able to offer email accounts to some
local schools, using SquirrelMail (keeps their costs & maintenance
down). The whole arrangement is working, but we don't want to have to

Yes that is correct.

domain, for example?
No there are no other entries in the mailertable or access files.

I'm migrating an internal Mediawiki over to a new CentOS 4 system. The
old server's running FC3 and has a tarball install, ideally I want to
stick to properly packaged software as far as possible.
