2nd REPOST: mbox vs maildir
I'm going to assume this is just not possible, or that no one has an
answer, which would lead me back to uw-imap since it does work as-is.
So I'll post it again, hoping that there is a solution for this setup
and that folks have just been too busy to help think about it and/or
help come up with a possible solution.

Folders within folders ...
Our mail setup is as follows:
~/mail/ - This contains single mailboxes (Drafts, Trash, and others)
~/mail-Archives/ - This contains a hierarchy of folders containing
mailboxes
For example, a tree of ~/mail/ would look like this:
~/mail/
~/mail/Trash
~/mail/Drafts
~/mail/sent-mail
~/mail/My Stuff
~/mail/Important

Ignoring my previous message just for a second, I realized that my

inbox = yes
hidden = no

Kickstart with multiple eth devices
Nope, it doesn't add it to the kernel boot parameters. That was the first
thing I checked.
As for the bootproto ... DUH. I didn't check that. :) That being solved,
yeah it's not bringing up the add-in card now when it boots up.

nmbd memory leak in 2.2.x CVS
I am running 2.2.6 on a customer's site and everything has been perfect.
However I noticed the other day that one of the two nmbd processes (it is a
wins server) had grown to 13Mb over a two week period.
I needed to update to the latest CVS version anyway and had hoped that
something in that might fix things. Five days later and things are looking
the same:
nmbd started on Nov 9th:

UPS question
Hello folks,
I'm about to install Centos on a new server and this will be my
first "exposure" if you will to Centos. I come from an RH/Fedora
background. Anyway, is there a list somewhere that will tell me what
UPS batteries are compatible with Centos 4 (brand/model)? I figured
before I go out and buy something I better check to see what's supported.
Thanks.

Weird time(zone)?
I installed CentOS 5 on a server today (wiping clean the drive which
had 4.4 on it). During installation I picked the correct timezone,
location and all. Yet, upon booting the machine, it seems to think that
it's 6 hours earlier than it really is.
The BIOS has the correct time and date on it.
/etc/locatime was originally what /usr/share/zoneinfo/America/Denver

Updates?
I just installed CentOS 4 on a new server and now I'm looking for
updates that have been released. I like to keep a local mirror of all
the updates so I can apply them to other machines easier/faster (this of
course assuming I end up installing CentOS on more servers.) So, where
are those updates mirrored?
With RH/FC, I can hit any mirror and rsync the updates folders. Is
there an

Re: Question on Belkin UPS
Hi Ashley,
yes, try the newhidups driver. It should work. If there are problems,
we can improve the driver. -- Peter

Kickstart with multiple eth devices
And after picking this back up this morning .... still no dice. I have now
blacklisted the one module that would enumerate the add-in ethernet port so
that is no longer an issue during the kickstart process, however the
following is now happening:
- kickstart completes successfully using the machine's physical port 2 (or
eth1) which is on a subnet with DHCP
- when the system reboots, it

Re: Problems with Mac files - Any resolution?
Hi Ashley,
I don't think I have an answer for you, but I had a similar
experience. We had a 2000 server set up that was sharing files to
macs. I decided to rsync back it up to a more normal
environment(*nix). I had all kinds of problems. I tried mounting the
share via smb as you are trying. I tried cygwin/rsync on the 2000
machine, still had problems, though I think they were fewer,

5.0 -> 5.1
Hi folks,
I have a production server that's currently running 5.0 with all
updates. What's the easiest, or perhaps best way to upgrade it to 5.1,
with minimal down time? The downtime is critical, so I need to have it
be a short as possible. I can live with an hour or two, but larger is
going to be a pain.
Suggestions?

Anyone know where I can get a 'netmask' rpm for CentOS? I have it
on my Fedora systems (it's in extras) but can't find it in CentOS'
extras. Ideas?

AutoFS mystery ...
Nope, that completely takes over '/mnt' and everything else that's in there
becomes invisible. However, I do believe you're on to something here.
Looking back at the other, working setup, I do realize now that I did the
same, where the path was '/mnt/<something>' and the autofs mounts are
within that, so they became '/mnt/<something>/<mount-point>'

Kickstart with multiple eth devices
Define out of order in this case just so I know for sure what you mean.
What my solution does, or at least does reliably in my case, is make sure
the interfaces are in the same order once installed as the install kernel
saw them. It won't re-order them to be sequential based on bus, mac or
driver. I am working on that but it will also include naming the devices
based on the module
