Antispam plugin: insufficent error messages
Hi!
"Dovecot always logs a detailed error message if something goes wrong.
If it doesn't, it's considered a bug and will be fixed." (http://
wiki2.dovecot.org/Logging)
I'm trying to set up a spam filter with dovecot-antispam and dspam as backend.
When I move a spam message from INBOX to Spam, I get this in syslog:

Group-based filesystem quota
Hello. After using Dovecot for over a year, I have just started
experimenting with the filesystem quotas, and I have a suggestion for
improvement. On my mail server, I use group-based quotas, and would
like to have Dovecot be able to report these quotas.
It should be simple to implement, requiring only changes to the
quota-fs.c file of the quota plugin. Simply changing USRQUOTA to

SEGV with Dovecot v1.0.0 Deliver and cmusieve v1.0.1 and vacation
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hello,
I have a small Sieve script that tries to use vacation that segfaults.
The script is the one from http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA/Sieve.
When I change the email address (I changed the local part into "skai"),
hence, vacation is skipped, the mail is delivered without any problem.

Crash on opening mailbox
Hi!
I'm currently experiencing a crash of dovecot 2.2.25 on Gentoo, upon opening
mailbox. The crash only triggers on opening inbox, other mailboxes seem to work
fine. It happens every time, and can be reproduced on request. I also briefly
tried 2.2.19, and it behaves the same.
The bug seems to be triggered by some mail, as I encountered it previously and
fixed by removing some spam. I

I'm working on a dovecot plugin.
What's the easiest way to read a specific

dovecot-lda cvs
I am using dovecot-lda from cvs (checked out on september the 21st) and
dovecot 1.0alpha2 (not yet upgraded ok).
I have a strange feeling about "redirect" feature.
Let's see two sieve scripts examples:
# ex1
require ["fileinto", "vacation"];
if header :is ["blabla"] "blabla" { fileinto "blabla"; }

Explain about (mail_get_first_header(mail, "From", &header)
Hi Timo...
Inside my plugin, i use the (mail_get_first_header(mail, "From",
&header) function, to get the email From to put in some Blacklist.
Looking in the header under this mail, we have 2 "From" fields.
Using the function above, i get the Second "From", but my MTA (exim)
look in to The First From, in the First Line, in that way, my
blacklist don't work,

plugin problem
I'm trying to do a rewrite of the dspam_plugin for dovecot 1.1b1.
There are some API changes that warranted an update of the plugin.
Also, I wanted the dspam_plugin to be able to handle pristine mails
for dspam retraining, as opposed to the signature based retraining.
Question:
How can I retrieve the full unix path for a specific mail?
The original code uses mail_get_first_header() to

After some investigation, it turns out it is non trivial to install

Sorry I can't investigate further.

I have a RHEL7 server with Dovecot 2.3.0 (new installation). I've a

Sieve and locale (Japanese)
I have setup Dovecot-1.2 'delivery' to use Dovecot's Sieve as well (both
versions are latest from dovecot.org).
I am curious if sieve can handle Japanese, or locale, in general in the
language. In particular, the subject which is encoded even more complicated.
if header :contains "subject" ["test", "???"] {
So if I want to file based on above, test,

Possible Bug in quota-fs.c
Hi,
I'm using filesystem quotas with dovecot 1.0rc22 on my Linux 2.4.27 box. The
quota limit gets correctly reported in kilobytes to the client but the amount
of used space is reported in megabytes.
In quota-fs.c I noticed that only the currently used space is divided by 1024:
Line 241:
*value_r = dqblk.dqb_curblocks / 1024;
*limit_r = dqblk.dqb_bsoftlimit;

deliver assertion failure
Deliver from latest 1.1 HG with sieve also from latest 1.1 HG is dying
with an assertion failure when it delivers to my mailbox. Other
mailboxes on the same system are unaffected, but I can read my mailbox
fine through IMAP.
Dovecot and sieve were compiled with -march=nocona -pipe -ggdb
I've commented out my entire sieve script and the problem still occurs.

dovecot-2.22.33.2, segfault on empty emails
Hello!
I'm using maildir format with zlib_save=bz2. Here is the way how I generate empty mails and this leads to segfault:
create empty message:

this creates empy email in maildir (size 14B):
