rc15 dumped core
We have been running rc15 since Sunday experiencing no trouble, but today one user crashed. rc15 on Solaris-5.9, the server had app 6GB free memory at the time of the crash, app 70% idle running with an avg.load at 4 of 8 processors available. The USER's INBOX was quite smooth, app 13MB containing 320 messages. The core dump was accompanied with these log-entries: Nov 23 2006 12:27:00

Error: mremap_anon(###) failed: Cannot allocate memory
We're running dovecot 2.2.15 with pigeonhole 0.4.6, in a clustered environment, nfs with proxy and backend on all servers. I've been seeing some odd errors from lmtp: Error: mremap_anon(127930368) failed: Cannot allocate memory It seems to affect specific users, but it doesn't seem to manifest in any particular way; no user complaints. Just the occasional log message. I would

Dovecot 2.1rc1 + 2.0.16 woes regarding fts_squat
I can confirm the report posted in http://dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2011-November/062263.html that fts_squat no longer seems to be used after moving from 2.0.16->2.1 rc 1. I don't see crash reports in the logs, just "0 messages indexed". My search test tool just does a normal IMAP SEARCH for a long non-existent string. If there's another way to trigger re-indexing in 2.1, I

(imap) killed with signal 9 on Linux/OpenVZ VPS
I'm trying to get dovecot running on my VPS and the main imap process is receiving a SIGKILL from what I presume to be the Linux Kernel and/or OpenVZ. This happens after I login and my client(s) just sit their idling. The mailbox is empty. I'm not running out of memory. stracing the process doesn't show anything interesting... ... gettimeofday({1233024777, 844804}, {420, 0}) = 0

Postfix with Deliver (LDA) - user unknown
Good Day All! I am attempting to configure deliver as our LDA. I am also configuring the server to use Postfix instead of Sendmail. I have followed the all the documentation and examples I could find. Below are my Dovecot and Postfix configs. Can someone please smack me upside the head and tell me why I am getting "user unknown" errors? If i don't use deliver as the LDA, all
