Roaming profile: login path= ignored on 2.0.6
Has anyone else noticed this? With Samba 2.0.6, Samba seems to ignore my logon path= statement, and always put profiles in the home directory. I can toggle this symptom by switching back and forth between 2.0.5a and 2.0.6. With login path=\\%N\profile\%U, 2.0.5a puts them below the directory I define in [profile]. 2.0.6 puts them below my home directory. In my case I have 2.0.5a and 2.0.6 in

Tag format comments from a newbie
Hello, all: As a newbie with a high opinion of my opinion, I couldn't let the opportunity pass by to put in my $0.02(USD)... First, a summary: We have two places to put information about the song I'm listening to; the metadata stream and the comment header. The metadata stream is intended to be variable-length and (potentially) containing a number of disparate types of details. Not

Question: How can I recover this partition? (unable to find logical $hugenum len 4096)
Hi list! I recently butchered my filesystem, and I was wondering if anyone knows how to help. Problem: My filesystem is screwed up, and I can''t mount it at all right now. In the logs, the problem begins around 45s. Background: I''m running a 6x4TB RAID5 array using md. I have a few virtual machines using said array, and one of them is a btrfs storage server. I ran into some

Puppet Best Practice
Hello everyone, A long time ago, I posted the Stanford Best Practices and I''ve gone through and updated it today. I''d like to have people go through it and see if we can strip out some Stanford specific stuff and tag this as an official best practice. I think an official best practice will be important as more and more people consider making shareable modules, etc (mostly

[PATCH] fs, ocfs2: Move o2net_get_func_run_time under CONFIG_OCFS2_FS_STATS.
When CONFIG_DEBUG_FS=y and CONFIG_OCFS2_FS_STATS=n, we get the following warning: fs/ocfs2/cluster/tcp.c:213:16: warning: ?o2net_get_func_run_time? defined but not used Since o2net_get_func_run_time is only called from o2net_update_recv_stats, so move it under CONFIG_OCFS2_FS_STATS. too many files open
Good morning Btrfs list, I have been loading a btrfs file system via a script rsyncing data files from an nfs mounted directory. The script runs well but after several days (moving about 10TB) rsync reports that it is sending the file list but stops moving data because btrfs balks saying too many files open. A simple umount/mount fixes the problem. What am I flushing when I remount that

[PATCH] ocfs2: Update VFS inode's id info after reflink.
In reflink we update the id info in the disk but forget to update the corresponding information in the VFS inode. So update them accordingly in case we want to preserve the attributes. [PATCH 1/1] ocfs2 fix o2dlm dlm run purgelist
There are two problems in dlm_run_purgelist 1. If a lockres is found to be in use, dlm_run_purgelist keeps trying to purge the same lockres instead of trying the next lockres. 2. When a lockres is found unused, dlm_run_purgelist releases lockres spinlock before setting DLM_LOCK_RES_DROPPING_REF and calls dlm_purge_lockres. spinlock is reacquired but in this window lockres can get reused. Hi, Everything compiled correctly for the ocfs2 package, but so far the modules will not load with the "well known" module symbol error. FATAL: Error inserting ocfs2 (/lib/modules/2.6.16.27-0.6-smp/kernel/fs/ocfs2/ocfs2.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg) Okay not sure what is up here, any suggestions? BTW, this is the correct module location and I

r-base installation fails on Ubuntu 14.04
Synaptic can show the origin of packages. The only thing I see from a backport is libcmanager0 I don't think this is relevant to R. Or is it. The only thing I've got installed from a ppa is mate (a desktop). I don't see anything related to mate that is related to R. FYI the ubunu I'm using came preinstalled from Dell (on a notebook; usually I install linux myself). On
