Released Pigeonhole Sieve v0.1.15 and ManageSieve v0.11.11 for Dovecot v1.2.10
Hello Dovecot users,
It's been a while since the last Pigeonhole Sieve and ManageSieve
releases. That is why this release includes quite a few changes. Most
interestingly, the include extension is updated to match the most recent
specification, the Sieve interpreter now includes plugin support and
ManageSieve now has support for enforcing quota on the size of scripts,

suppressing stderr output from system() calls
Dear list,
I'm trying to suppress/redirect/squash the output from commands like install.packages, or download.file. The problem is that none of: sink(..., type="message"), sink(..., type="output"), capture.output, suppressMessages are quite doing the trick. Output gets written to the stderr stream, despite any combination of the above suppression commands.

Unable to reload Rdoc
Dear list,
I'm hoping the R guru's can help with an error i've been getting for at least a year during active package development.
I have a package loaded & spot a documentation bug, so I:
edit the Rd file (or in the roxygen header + roxygenize); then
R CMD BUILD,
R CMD INSTALL
then in the same R session, reload the library & lookup a man page, I always get this error:

Dovecot Sieve crash
I just transferred the files in my home directory from an x86_64 machine
to an i686 machine. This included the .dovecot.sieve and .dovecot.sievec
files in my home root, and the Dovecot index files in my ~/Maildir
directory. Everything seemed to be working until I tried sending an email
that triggers a Sieve "redirect" command, then I got the following in the
logs. I then tried

Pigeonhole Sieve IMAP flag question
Hello,
Here is a small script that I've been running to test a problem I've been
seeing. Shouldn't this result in the mail being delivered to the inbox as
a new message (ie. without the \Seen flag)?
require "imap4flags";
addflag "\\Seen";
removeflag "\\Seen";
Every message gets delivered to the inbox as though it's already been

SEARCH NOT not working
I think I've found the source of a bug which I first saw when running
dovecot and pine (or alpine), which I finally tracked down by doing a
protocol trace. In the IMAP session, the SEARCH command appears to have a
problem with sets of messages and/or the NOT operator.
Probably the best way to show this is by doing operations on a folder with
ten messages in it.
a select ten

Dovecot raw backtrace when copying to folder
Seeing a problem with a certain user causing dovecot to crash when copying
mail to a folder. This looks similar to a bug someone on the mailing list
posted recently.
Since the backtrace mentions the index, I tried deleting all of the index
files for the user (including subfolders) but it had no effect. Seems that
the bug still happens when creating the index for the first time.

[LLVMdev] HELP! Recent failure on llvm buildbot
I'm working on lldb.
I've just submitted a very small change (r217229) to Triple.h/.cpp. Soon
after I get a mail
subject: buildbot failure in LLVM on lld-x86_64-darwin13
Details:
http://lab.llvm.org:8011/builders/lld-x86_64-darwin13/builds/2571
Blamelist: mg11
My small change certainly did not cause lldb's build to fail on my
machine. I looked into the build-log:

IMAP IDLE goes to sleep
First of all, let me say that I'm really impressed with Dovecot.
It is great.
Problem description
===================
Now I've got a possible bug I'd like to report. I've been learning
about the IMAP protocol recently, and have started playing with the
IDLE command. The problem is that Dovecot doesn't always notify the
client when there is new mail available. While

External IAX2 phone defined as internal behaving as from PSTN
Have asterisk@home 1.2.1
The server is on an internal network eg 10.10.10.10
It is NAT'd 1:1 via Checkpoint firewall to external public IP eg
50.50.50.50
The remote IAX2 phone (ATCOM320) is configured to call 50.50.50.50 on
extension 1055.
Outbound calls to 1055 work perfectly.
Inbound calls from 1055 get picked up as if it were an external call
(see below) and goes straight to the ring

R CMD INSTALL writes to stderr
Dear list,
(this is a follow up from a previous query)
Why does R CMD INSTALL write most of its messages to stderr? If it wrote to stdout, then we could capture its output within an R session when calling
sink("stdout.txt", type="output")
install.packages("MASS", type="source")
sink()
As it stands, the stderr messages can't be captured via

[LLVMdev] Machine Code for different architectures
Hi,
We have some DSP architectures (kalimba) which have 24-bits as their
"minimum addressable unit". So this means that the sizeof a char (and
an int and a short for that matter) is 24-bits.
I quickly read the posted link WritingAnLLVMBackend.html but did not
see an obvious answer to the following question:
Is it possible to write a backend that faithfully represents these

[PATCH] p2v: Inhibit power saving during the conversion.
We do this by sending an Inhibit() message to logind and receiving a
file descriptor back, which we hold open until the conversion
completes (or fails). This is described here:
https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/inhibit/
This adds an additional optional dependency on DBus since we use DBus
to call the Inhibit() method.

[LLVMdev] [PATCH][REQUEST] Could someone submit this CSR Kalimba definitions patch please?
Hello LLVMdev!!
Yesterday I posted a patch request to the llvm-commits list requesting
that someone could apply a patch to Triple.h and Triple.cpp for me. I
didn't get any response so I wondered whether I should have posted to
this list instead.
My story is as follows: we are trying to get lldb/llvm support for CSRs
range of Kalimba DSPs. Eventually we are planning to hire someone to

[LLVMdev] Machine Code for different architectures
Hi Johnny,
Thanks for this - particularly the tip about cfe-dev. I'm currently
trying to coerce lldb to debug these type of architectures (our
current toolchain already outputs good dwarf info). However, I'm
struggling since lldb has just assumes that the size of a byte is
universally 8-bits. At some stage, I *think* at some stage we'd like to
derive a compiler, from the "same

Samba 4 to replicate my samba3.6 config

I am trying to migrate my samba 3 config to work with samba 4
I currently use samba to authenticate windows users to use our Linux shares. Then using the Unix groups setup in NIS to validate the users access to a particular share.
Here is the problem.
I can see the shares using samba 4 but it uses the
