Upgraded to dovecot-1.1.0 today, and activated the fts_lucene plugin. On
login with Thunderbird-2.0.0.14, dovecot crashes over and over:

XEN on old CPUs
Hi All!
Currently I have the following setup - Xen 3.1.4 with netbsd 4 in dom0 on
AMD Athlon XP 1900+ box. What I
am trying to achieve is to run a guest linux on the same box. I tried
building different linux kernels 2.6.18,
2.6.32.2, 2.6.31.6. But without much success. 2.6.18 builds only with PAE
enabled kernel, which won''t boot
on my system. While on 2.6.31.6 and 2.6.32.2 I was not

btrfsck failed
I tried an (offline) btrfsck and got the following error message:
> btrfsck /dev/sdb3

I use kernel version 2.6.32.2 with builtin btrfs-drivers.

imap default separator ignored?
Hi folks,
I have configured the imap folder separator to '/' (see below).
AFAIU the separator character does not affect the internal
folder representation managed by Dovecot, but just the
communication between client and imap server. Question is:
What is supposed to happen if I try to create a folder named
"a.b" in this configuration? Since '.' is not a separator

problem namespace

hello dovecot network

hello all others reader
I do not use the namespace notation in my dovecot configuration.
I use Maildir mailboxes that get stuck in /home users.
my question is simple I advise you to use the namespace and what should
be its own configuration.
I use lda to issue the emails

Static build segfaults on x86_64
Hello everyone,
I would like to ask you for advice on how to approach (or solve) this
particular problem.
I use Slackware Linux and compile Openssh from source. I prefer to
compile it statically so it doesn't get messed up if I update openssl
libraries. Up until now this approach was working OK for me.
Lately I have been challenged with Slackware64 installations and I
have come across a

Strange Dovecot 2.0.20 auth chokes and cores
When we upgrade our kernels from 2.6.32.2 to 3.2.16 something strange
has happened.
On high traffic dovecot/auth looks like not responding.
We found a lot of this lines at the log:
dovecot: pop3-login: Error: net_connect_unix(pop3) failed: Resource
temporarily unavailable

Some other errors follow in the wake of:

pop3 proxying error
Hi Timo,
I've got some errors with pop3 proxying and dovecot 2.1.9
I's occured on the proxy side:
Aug 7 13:16:47 dev1 dovecot: pop3-login: Fatal: master:
service(pop3-login): child 23046 killed with signal 11 (core dumped)
Server side shows no error, and runs the same dovecot version.
Thanks for your help.

dovecot-2.0-beta4, lda and sieve: Permission lookup failed from /tmp/Dovecot Delivery
Hi all,
I'm testing a dovecot-2.0-beta4 and it is great so far, except that I
can't get the sieve plugin for the LDA configured.
It doesn't find the user's homedir and uses /tmp instead. Thus it never
finds any sieve scripts.
The log shows that the SQL queries return the correct home path, namely
