v2.0.beta1
Hi Timo, the imap_client_workarounds are not always parsed. There was on situation, in which cmd->client->set->parsed_workarounds was set to WORKAROUND_TB_EXTRA_MAILBOX_SEP. Sorry, I can't remember what I have done. But when I try to delete a mailbox with Thunderbird imap_client_workarounds are not parsed: (gdb) print cmd->client->set->imap_client_workarounds $7 =

dovecot-2.0-pigeonhole/ManageSieve: wrong service name
Hi Stephan, ManageSieve uses the wrong? service name for the authdb lookup. With dovecot-1.2-managesieve the service name was changed from 'managesieve' to 'sieve'. So I altered my table layout in order to make the query "SELECT userid AS "user", password FROM dovecotpassword('%Ln', '%Ld') WHERE %Ls" work again. When I try to login on the sieve

v2.0.beta4: conversion of v1.2 configuration
Hi Timo, I've just tried to convert my v1.2 configuration to a v2.0 configuration. When the dict process was started via deliver(?) and Dovecot is killed (kill $PID_OF_DOVECOT) after delivering only one message, it logs: Fatal: io_loop_handle_add: epoll_ctl(1, 10): Bad file descriptor If the dict process was not started or deliver has delivered more than one message, the error doesn't occur. v1.2.rc5 imap ignores configuration reloads
Hi Timo, after changing the mail_executable in the imap {?} section I have to restart Dovecot v1.2.rc5, otherwise the changes are not accepted. With Dovecot v1.1.x (tested with v1.1.11 and v1.1.16) it's enough to send a SIGHUP to the dovecot process. Regards, Pascal -- The trapper recommends today: c01dcofe.0916521 at localdomain.org

v2.0 lmtp logging
Hi, I am not yet completely happy with the logging behavior of the lmtp. It logs informative messages like 'lmtp: Info: Connection closed' or 'lmtp: Info: Disconnected for inactivity'. Hm, which server was connected to the lmtp? Who was disconnected for inactivity? I think it would be useful if the lmtp would also log new connections. For example: a) TCP connections: lmtp: Info:

Dovecot v1.2.rc5 dbox file permissions
Hi Timo, I've just setup Dovecot v1.2.rc5 and switched the mailbox format of one account to dbox. Therefor I've created an empty directory, called dbox, with access mode 0700, like the user's home directory. After the IMAP login with Thunderbird some dboxes was created. All permissions were set fine (0700 / 0600), except the permissions for the files: *

configure performs checks for not needed sasl headers
Hi, I'm always surprised when I see output from configure like checking for really_not_needed.h... no The configure script is always 'checking sasl.h usability' even when the --without-ldap option was specified. The attached patch checks the presence of sasl.h / sasl/sasl.h only when using the --with-ldap option && all required LDAP headers and libs are available. Regards,
