question on autch cache parameters
Hi list, I have a question on auth caching in 2.2.18. I am using acl_groups for a master user, appended in a static userdb file # snip ############################### master at uma:{SHA}XXXX=::::::userdb_acl_groups=umareadmaster allow_nets=127.0.0.1 # snap ############################### and use this group in a global ACL file. I discovered this only works on first NOT-cached login

v2.0.alpha3 released
http://dovecot.org/releases/2.0/alpha/dovecot-2.0.alpha3.tar.gz http://dovecot.org/releases/2.0/alpha/dovecot-2.0.alpha3.tar.gz.sig Nothing horribly exciting since alpha2, but since I did other releases I thought I might as well release this one too. - Most of the stuff in master.conf is now built into binaries so the file itself is small. dovecot -n also doesn't show the defaults anymore.

question on autch cache parameters
Hello Thank you for your report. We really appreciate it, especially when you can pinpoint a commit. However, I am unable to reproduce this. Could you post your doveconf -n please? Im especially interested in your passdb and userdb configurations and auth-cache settings. br, Teemu Huovila On 08/06/2015 01:07 PM, matthias lay wrote: > hi timo, > > I checked out the commit causing

Multiple scripts with postlogin
Hello, I'm having trouble understanding how to execute separate scripts with postlogin. According to the documentation, it should be as simple as: You can run multiple post-login scripts by just giving multiple scripts as parameters to|script-login|, for example: executable = script-login rawlog /usr/local/bin/postlogin.sh /usr/local/bin/postlogin2.sh Given this information, I supplied two

LMTP Post login script for acl_groups
Hi, I use a post login script for imap, to fetch acl groups from LDAP. Because Dovecot can only deal with a single value, which must be a comma seperated list of groups, I decided to use a post login script do deal with multi values in LDAP: This looks like this in LDAP: rnsMSACLGroup: admin rnsMSACLGroup: automx rnsMSACLGroup: amavis rnsMSACLGroup: postfix rnsMSACLGroup: dovecot rnsMSACLGroup:

v2.0.beta4: conversion of v1.2 configuration
Hi Timo, I've just tried to convert my v1.2 configuration to a v2.0 configuration. Below a few obsolete warnings, among others "mail_executable has been replaced by service { executable }", was an interesting error: "doveconf: Error: duplicate listener: 198:" The broken parts of the converted configuration: # 2.0.beta4 (84ffb38839b9): /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS: Linux

post-login scripting failing with "denied access to user" v2.1.7
I am trying to have a default sieve rule for new mailboxes that can be edited by users using the round cube sieve plugin. It would actually be better executed when a new user is created but my postfixadmin runs on a separate machine so that's a bit tricky. The "sieve-default =" setting won't quite achieve what I want as I want users to be able to edit the default rule (to

postlogin script
I'm using the postlogin service, following the examples in the wiki. But I can't find any documentation on the behavior (what's allowed/not allowed) of the script-login binary. So, some questions: Question 1: The examples show the following at the end of the post-login.sh script: exec "$@" My understanding is that this would exec each of the command line arguments to

v2.0 configuration parsing
I'm trying to figure out how exactly v2.0 should be parsing configuration files. The most annoying part is if it should always just "use whatever comes first in config" or try some kind of a "use most specific rule". The "most specific" kind of makes more sense initially, but then you start wondering how to handle e.g.: 1) User logs in to imap from 192.168.0.1.

calling post-login script with doveadm
Hello everyone, I'm trying to execute some commands with doveadm but I need some information loaded in a post-login script before running these commands. Is possible to run the post-login script while executing doveadm? I've found how to do something similar with -o key=value to override settings, but I want to change a namespace location, as done in the post-login script: ... export

Enable Rawlog from userdb in Dovecot v2.2
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, how do I enable Rawlog for one person only? http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Debugging/Rawlog describes how to enable the postlogin script for all users. Rawlog gets active only, if the dovecot.rawlog directory exists. So far, it's working. However. I suspect that there is some notable overhead in this chain, so I tried to enable rawlog via

post login script
Hello all, I am testing postlogin script with dovecot 2. I works but i would like that the imap and pop session get executed even if the post-login script fail. my postlogin script is very simple: #/etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-master.conf service imap { executable = imap imap-postlogin } # service imap-postlogin { executable = script-login /usr/local/bin/postlogin.sh unix_listener

Dovecot 2.2.27 & windows 10 outlook (no auth attempts in 0 secs) error.
Edit: When using win8, then logs started appear in dovecot.rawlog. But as win10 gives error in ssl level, before user authentication, then no debug logs will be written into user dovecot.rawlog folder. So how to debug this ssl issue? Problem configuring rawlog with 2.0beta6
The initial problem I was seeing after upgrade from 2.0beta5 to 2.0beta6 was error messages from my Android phone K9 client that dovecot was reporting -1 messages in various mailboxes. These mailboxes do have the special "Mail System Internal Data" message in them. In trying to get more information for debugging, I tried toenable rawlog using the same configuration I used successfully
