SIS attachments compressed
Hello:
In case it is defined to use zlib compression, does SIS save attachments
compressed?
I have found this question replied in the past (2012) and the answer was
NO. I ask again just to know if there have been changes or if it is in
the roadmap to add compression.
I have been testing to migrate from maildir+zlib to mdbox+zlib+sis and
the results, in terms of space used, and worst than

CASifying dovecot and webmail
Hello:
I'm trying to authenticate webmail (roundcube) and dovecot with Apereo CAS.
I don't find any good guide and everything I have found is some years
old. Has any of you done a recent integration with CAS and can share the
details ?
Best regards

maildir quota divergence
Hello;
We are using maildir quotas and have found differences in many users in
respect to what system command are showing and doveadm quotas.
For example, four user test, we have:

lmtp performance
Hello:
In the process of migration from version 1.2 to 2.0 have tried to use
lmtp instead of lda as delivery agent.
But unfortunately througput we get is poor with lmtp compared to lda.
In peak times with lda we are able to deliver over 1800 messages/minute
(high I/O but not affecting service) but if we switch to lmtp cannot
deliver more than 300 mess/minute (very low I/O).
This is enough

Unicorn preload_app and upstart
?Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has managed to get the preload_app and SIGUSR2
combination working well with upstart?
My issue currently is that when I perform a SIGUSR2 against the master,
check everything''s working and close off the old master, upstart then
attempts to restart it because the original PID/binary are no longer
running.
What is the correct way of handling this? In my

working on a 2.5.6pre1 release
I'm working on trying to get rsync 2.5.6pre1 available for people to
test more widely. I'm out of time for today, and I'm stuck on a problem
that some machines on build.samba.org are showing on the 'chgrp' test.
I can reproduce this on my home redhat 7.3 system too. It appears to be a
timing problem because when I do strace -F -f on it the problem goes away.
Everything seems

dovecot2: authcache statistics
Hello,
setting auth_cache_size to nonzero enables caching of authentication data.
The cache hitrate may be logged by sending SIGUSR2 to dovecot/auth process.
Is it possible that dovecot logs statistics on regular intervals ?

1.0-test73

Two potentially dangerous changes:
- mbox parser should now be able to handle CR+LF linefeeds. Hopefully
doesn't break anything.
- Some mail header parser changes. Hopefully doesn't break anything.
And other stuff:
- COPY shouldn't crash anymore with 64bit systems
- If PAM modifies username, keep it
- When auth workers died they leaked file

Environment set on PAM module is not visible to user
We're using an internal PAM module (Linux) that sets a few environment
variables using pam_putenv (on pam_sm_authenticate). In version 3.6.1p1i
such variables are visible to the user (as expected), but since 3.7p1
they are not...
Is this the expected behaviour?
Thanks in advance,
Jose

[patch] Still a problem with cleanup.c
Hello,
There is still a problem with the _exit_cleanup() function in
cleanup.c despite the patch that was put in last week that prevented
recursion. It turns out that sometimes multiple calls in close
sequence are done and this causes rsync to spin out of control
instead of exiting.
This bug was found by Marc Espie and the patch I'm including is
his as well. It hasn't been commited

Writing a new link for a GLM.
Hi,
I wish to write a new link function for a GLM. R's glm routine does
not supply the "loglog" link. I modified the make.link function adding
the code:
}, loglog = {
linkfun <- function(mu) -log(-log(mu))
linkinv <- function(eta) exp(-exp(-eta))
mu.eta <- function(eta) exp(-exp(-eta)-eta)
valideta <- function(eta) all(eta != 0)

Very HUGE binaries!?
Hi!
I've been compiling Samba 3.0.x on a Solaris 2.6 server using GCC
3.4.1 without any problem until recently... The problem started with 3.0.12
version, and reproduced in 3.0.13. Doing "configure" and then "make"
produces with these two versions VERY HUGE binaries! I'm talking about more
than 50 Megabytes binaries in some cases... With 3.0.11 and before I had

dumping to multiple files
Hello.
I intend to make a live streaming of a quite long multi-artist concert
( 8h or so). I also would like to dump the concert to a file(s).
For several reasons I would prefer to dump performance of every artist
to seperate file. Is it possible to somehow tell ices2 to switch dumping
from one file to another ( without interrupting a transmission of course ) ?
Or maybe
