Network IP address
Hello all, Quick question. Our network has NO connection to the internet (the way we want it) but we are using 66.2.x.x as our IP addresses. However, I am now reading that 192.168.x.x is the preferred naming convention. If I leave as 66.2.x.x will I have problems with Samba? Because I dont connect to the Internet do I need to change? Thanks in advance and hope Mr. Gerard O'Reilly Intranet

Hi Rotem, Thanks for the quick answer, how do I know which type is legal/illegal with respect to calling convention ? [LLVMdev] Vector argument passing abi for ARM ?
Hi Sebastien, > Thanks for the quick answer, how do I know which type is legal/illegal with respect to calling convention ? the code generators are supposed to produce working code no matter what the parameter type is. The fact that the ARM ABI doesn't specify how <2 x i8> is passed just means that the code generators can pass it using whatever technique it feels like (since it

[LLVMdev] RE : Vector argument passing abi for ARM ?
Hi Duncan, I also thought it was a bug, especially since it worked with LLVM 3.0, but since it is not defined by ABI, I was not sure if I need to submit it as a BUG. I wanted to be sure that it is an actual BUG before submitting it and got the not-a-bug answer. Here is a small example to reproduce the problem I'm experiencing: ; ModuleID = 'bugparam.ll' target datalayout =

I didn't read Nadav's reply as saying there was no bug, in fact he explicitly said in his email

[LLVMdev] Vector argument passing abi for ARM ?
The argument passing calling convention is undefined for illegal types, such as <2 x i8>. The invalid misaligned loads on ARM sounds like a bug in the ARM backend. -----Original Message----- From: llvmdev-bounces at cs.uiuc.edu [mailto:llvmdev-bounces at cs.uiuc.edu] On Behalf Of Sebastien DELDON-GNB Sent: Thursday, July 05, 2012 12:14 To: llvmdev at cs.uiuc.edu Subject: [LLVMdev] Vector

OT: P4 Vs Xeon for Linux
I have just had delivered a new HP Proliant server and it is based on an Intel Xeon 2.8GHz processor. On site already we have an Acer Altos G310 with a P4 2.8GHz processor. The new HP server was destined for another site with about 30 persons to service some simple file and print sharing and to manage their email (postfix + MailScanner). The Acer is hosting our Intranet, file and print sharing

PDC: Strange username translations...
Hi, i'm running a samba PDC on samba 3.0 and just had to reinstall the server because of a dead cpu causing corruption. luckily i had complete backups of the samba-files, so i copied them back to /etc/samba, /var/lib/samba and /var/cache samba. (tdb-files) i had one workstation (xp) removed from the domain and wanted to add it again, but then the station always gives me an error that i

Winbind not able to start
Hi Rowland, first and foremost thanks for the answer...on a saturday! Since I wrote I got it running! Did a complete purge of packages samba libnss-winbind libpam-winbind krb5-user krb5-config libpam-krb5 and reinstalled. Stopped smbd, nmbd and winbind and joined the domain. Started the services again and winbind could start as well. Thanks! Fyi, the smb.conf on AD (got a bit of a strange

Windows client still tries to connect to old AD after replacement
Hi all, I've decided to completely replace an old AD with a fresh, brand new one - the only thing linking the two is that I've transferred the user profiles & home folders over to the new one and I'm testing this configuration by disconnecting one of the Windows 10 computers from the old AD and then connecting it to the new AD. Old AD: Name - ad.domain.intranet IP -

Trust relationship fails after classicupgrade
Thanks Louis, it seems the DNS updates were working even with the nsswitch.conf I had, but only for machines that I manually joined to the new AD Domain. I checked the ones I didn't join manually and they aren't proper members of the domain anymore. If I try to logon with anything but the last (cached) user account on a Win7 machine I get: "The trust relationship between this

[LLVMdev] Vector argument passing abi for ARM ?
Hi all, I was wondering if there is a defined ABI for passing vector as parameter for ARM target. For instance is this valid to write .ll statement like: ; ModuleID = 'bugconv.ll' target datalayout = "e-p:32:32:32-i1:8:8-i8:8:8-i16:16:16-i32:32:32-i64:64:64-f32:32:32-f64:64:64-v64:64:64-v128:128:128-a0:0:64-n32" target triple = "thumbv7-none-linux-androideabi" define

fstab labels
Hi, Recently during an upgrade I was asked to use labels or UUID in /etc/fstab. I've done that and everything went fine, except for the only CD/DVD ROM device in my system. According to KInfoCenter (the KDE devide information application) the this device has the label: CD/DVD Drive. So I placed this line in /etc/fstab: LABEL="CD/DVD Drive" /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user, noauto 0
