http://dovecot.org/releases/2.1/alpha/dovecot-2.1.alpha1.tar.gz http://dovecot.org/releases/2.1/alpha/dovecot-2.1.alpha1.tar.gz.sig So it's time for the first alpha version of Dovecot v2.1. Compile dovecot 1.2.5 with managesieve patch 0.11.9?
Hi, is it possible to compile dovecot 1.2.5 with the managesieve patch 0.11.9 which is for dovecot 1.2.4 or is it better to wait if a new managesieve patch is released? Maybe 1.2.5 will work too? Thanks, Seba

expire plugin + --exec-mail in 1.2.6 version
Hello list, After upgrade to dovecot version 1.2.6 I have noticed some quota malfunctions(users become often overquota). Looking at logs closely I have found that quota value resets to general dovecot-config( quota = maildir:Mailbox quota quota_rule = *:storage=500M quota_rule2 = Trash:storage=10%% ), after dovecot --exec-mail ext /usr/libexec/dovecot/expire-tool.sh command. The problem that

Released Sieve v0.1.13 for Dovecot v1.2.6
Hello Dovecot users, After about a month of silence, I finally release a new version of Pigeonhole Sieve. This release fixes problems in the multiscript support and improves the body extension further towards RFC compliance. The body extension still needs work, however, since some content types still give erroneous results. Changelog Sieve v0.1.13: + Body extension: implemented proper

Dovecot / Sieve
Hi, As the "new Sieve implementation" is using a "gratefully stolen copy of deliver.c from dovecot" (i.e. a dirty code in mail-raw.c), would it be possible for the Sieve piece 1 - to be using files from dovecot directly rather than copying&changing it (which is very bad for maintenance) 2 - to be incorporated in the hg/mercurial tree of dovecot ? Thanks a lot

Problem compiling dovecot 1.2.8 on Solaris 10?
I've got an issue using Sun's compilers on Solaris 10 - it appears that dovecot is trying to use the getopt function, that's part of GNU's glibc, and, therefore, not present when using Sun's compilers. Any ideas on how to resolve? cc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../.. -I../../src/lib -I../../src/lib-auth -I../../src/lib-mail -I../../src/lib-imap -I../../src/lib-index

Dovecot 2.0.7 (8793036f6de8) seems to miss some defaults for vsz_limit
Latest Mercurial seems to miss defaults for some services e.g. 'managesieve' and 'lmtp'. Example error message upon start: dovecotdoveconf: Fatal: Error in configuration file /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf: service(managesieve-login): vsz_limit is too low failed! Regards Thomas

Light "bug" in authtest, sockets path
Hi to all! I?ve changed position to client auth socket to enable postfix authentication. The socket is now created in /var/spool/postfix/private/auth. authtest do not catch up the change. Reading source I?ve seen that path to auth sockets is written explicitly in function authtest_passdb in util/authtest.c to: if (auth_socket_path == NULL) auth_socket_path =

Sieve and ManageSieve for Dovecot v2.0 merged into one repository
Hi, I've merged the Mercurial repositories for Sieve and ManageSieve for Dovecot v2.0 into one repository: http://hg.rename-it.nl/dovecot-2.0-pigeonhole This simplifies the build process significantly. It also allows tightly integrating the implementation of the script storage with the main Sieve library, enabling the possibility to implement alternate means of script storage, like for

quote warning not being triggered (yet again)
I'm using 1.2.6 with the managesieve patch and maildir++ quotas (via the maildirsite file). Again, I found that the quota warning is not bering triggered. Testing via: smtp-source -4 -f sender at charite.de -t recipient at charite.de -m 1 -l 1000000 -C 1 mail.charite.de:submission recipient at charite.de being a mailbox with a 10.0 MB limit. I attached dovecot -n and the quota warn script.

http://dovecot.org/releases/1.2/alpha/dovecot-1.2.alpha1.tar.gz http://dovecot.org/releases/1.2/alpha/dovecot-1.2.alpha1.tar.gz.sig This is the only v1.2.alpha announcement I'm going to send to dovecot-news list. Next announcement will be for either v1.2.beta1 or v1.2.rc1. I'm hoping that v1.2 stabilizes pretty soon. There are no huge changes like there were in 0.99->1.0 or
