Questions on supporting Shared Mailboxes using imapc://
I was not able to get a shared mailbox setup working using imapc. Tested using mailboxes on the same server, as well as other servers. We are using dovecot 2.2.10 from Centos 7, following the guide at http://wiki2.dovecot.org/SharedMailboxes/ClusterSetup imapc_host=192.168.5.5 #(Local dovecot server) imapc_master_user= %u imapc_password=TempPass #imapc_user=test2 at example.com # Added for

examples of shared shared-mailboxes.db
Dear Andre, Thanks for yr reply. What do i include in the file shared-mailboxes.db ? As in the input. Is it really plain text ? So for example i write into the file shared-mailbox.db :- shared at domain.net shared2 at domain.net etc... Is it like that or what kind of syntax needs to be used? 2.2alpha3 problems
I'm very puzzled by whats happening here. I've setup samba 2.2a3 acording to how it said to. Everythings looks fine. testparm reports 0 errors, all 10 of the samba services load w/o complaint, I can even get a list of shares/servers using smbclient -NL. Here's the output of smbclient -NL: [root@provo log]# smbclient -NL provo added interface ip=64.122.31.38 bcast=64.122.31.39

Puppetmaster be client of another puppetmaster?
Is is possible to have a puppetmaster that is a client of a different puppetmaster? We manage our customers'' server via puppet, but one customer has a puppetmaster server which looks after their internal systems. We''ve tried the following in /etc/puppet/puppet.conf ("customer" and "us" replacing the domain names) on their puppetmaster: [puppetmasterd]

guest ok = yes
Hi, I've got samba up and running, but I have the guest ok = yes option. Now I have the book Using Samba by o'reilly, and if I'm correct this setting should enable be to access the share without using a username/password, however it doesn't work, then if I enter a valid samba user when it prompts it works fine! I've included my smb.conf file, any suggestions would be

Shared folder hierarchies, multiple groups
Hi, I'm trying to set up two shared folder hierarchies on my Dovecot installation for two groups of employees, all of whom should only have access to their own hierarchy. Any employee should be able to create sub-folders and generally have full access to the hierarchy. My initial setup was to create two public namespaces, Shared-One and Shared-Two. Each is a Maildir under /var/mail. The

Public (Shared Folders) ACL Questions
I'm trying to set up a public namespace so that a set of IMAP folders are available to all staff - similar to MS Exchange Public Folders. I've managed to set up the namespace correctly but I'm having trouble with the ACLs. The global ACL file is the only method I can get to work. All I want to do is to allow 1 user admin privileges to create & delete anything but all other users

Subfolders of Inbox with LAYOUT=fs
We've just converted to LAYOUT=fs. Some users had subfolders under Inbox, and for those users some MUAs no longer show those folders. The directory structure is that the cur, tmp and new folders are in the 'location' directory, but the subfolders are in $location/INBOX/$foldername. I am suspicious of this: 12 list "" INBOX * LIST (\HasNoChildren) "/"

How to unsubscribe
> b) go to https://https://dovecot.org/mailman/listinfo/dovecot and click > unsubscribe, don't change your delivery options to notmail. That's not at all clear (quite apart from the double protocol prefix). A lot of the potential audience of this list "know" how Mailman works, so why have you broken that knowledge by delivering to those who have disabled mail delivery?

CIFS + NFS'ing a single filesystem w/ locking
Hi, I have a Solaris 10 server exporting UFS directories using built-in NFS. I've built Samba 3.0.20b from OpenPKG (www.openpkg.org). I have a Solaris 10 (x86) client mounting the NFS share and opening OpenDocument files using StarOffice 8 (SO8, aka OO2.0). I also have a Windows 2003 Terminal Server mounting the Samba share and opening documents with SO8. This is a temporary development
