Evening everyone, I'm trying to install Centos 4.3 in VMWare Workstation running on Windows XP (my laptop). I downloaded the CD iso's to my Linux box and burned them (I did them correctly since last time I screwed them up). However, when I start the VM in VMWare, it says the CD isn't bootable. Any ideas? I looked in the release notes, but maybe I missed it. Is it not possible to build a kernel from CentOS 4.3 (using 2.6.9-34.0.1) with HIGHMEM support turned off? This is for a machine with 512mb. anyone compiled alsa 1.0.11 on 4.3? I get errors compileing alsa-drivers. Thanks for any suggestions if you have done it.
