BUG: panic when using fs:posix as dict for acl_shared_dict
Hi Aki, I'm not sure if this bug was worked on?? Sadly I ran into it too recently, on version 2.3.4.1. BUG: panic when using fs:posix as dict for acl_shared_dict
Hi! Thank you for reporting this issue. We'll look into it. Maybe you can use sqlite3 instead as workaround? BUG: panic when using fs:posix as dict for acl_shared_dict
It's not very high priority I'm afraid. Did you try using sqlite instead? BUG: panic when using fs:posix as dict for acl_shared_dict
Hi, I'm using Dovecot 2.2.33.2 on a RHEL 7, new installation. When I use fs:posix as dict for acl_shared_dict, like in Dovecot wiki (https://wiki.dovecot.org/SharedMailboxes/ClusterSetup), doveadm-server crash with error: # doveadm acl set -u USERNAME FOLDER user=DEST_USERNAME lookup read write-seen doveadm(USERNAME): Panic: file dict-fs.c: line 127 (fs_dict_iterate_init): assertion

Problems running Dovecot 1.2.17 on AIX
Hello, we have a problem getting Dovecot 1.2.17 to work on one of our AIX-Machines (AIX 5.3). Dovecot compiles fine, but if we try to run it we get strange library dependency problems such as the following: [root at localhost dovecot-test]# /local/dovecot-test/sbin/dovecot -F -c /local/dovecot-test/etc/dovecot.clients.conf Edlopen(/local/dovecot-test/lib/dovecot/imap/lib01_acl_plugin.so)

Panic: file dict-fs.c:
Hi, Am I doing something wrong here, or is this an actual problem? I am trying to get the top level of a public Mailbox to be an actual mailbox, instead of just storing subfolders. I get what looks to be an identical error when running doveadm acl recalc as well doveadm acl debug Departments2/IT doveadm(root): Info: Mailbox 'IT' is in namespace 'Departments2/' doveadm(root):

Performance problem with STATUS after upgrade (1.0.15 -> 1.2.2)
Hello list, after upgrading dovecot from 1.0.15 to 1.2.2 (and carefully reading through the upgrading notes in the wiki), I got sieve, quota and fts up and running, but I'm now suffering some kind of performance problem with the STATUS command. Symptoms: Reading mail on the IMAP server itself with "mutt", no TLS/SSL, connected through loopback interface. Whenever I idle a bit and

In addition there are some newline characters added by ctime(). The following patch is a try to fix this for 1.2.rc5. --- expire-tool.c.orig

netgroups patch for rsync 2.6.0
G'day, I figured some others might benefit from this patch. It allows you to use the samba style @netgroup names in hosts allow and hosts deny. I've tested it on solaris and linux with no apparent problems.. I'll get rid of the static string in a couple of days when I have to worry about trying to get this into prod .. but with any luck someone else may have done that for me.. :)

dovecot 1.2: dict no longer really support DICT_ITERATE_FLAG_RECURSE
Hi, In dovecot 1.1, I could use DICT_ITERATE_FLAG_RECURSE when iterating over a dict to retrieve all entries that start with a given prefix. This doesn't seem to work anymore in the new dict implementation in dovecot 1.2. Looking at the SQL queries actually generated, it seems as if dovecot 1.1 used to generate queries that use pattern matching (key LIKE "my/prefix/%") whereas

OT: IMAP folder aliases
It seems that there is no standard for folder names that deal with typical message classes such as drafts, outbox, sent, spam etc. At least there's no common sense on a naming convention that tells how client should handle this. Worse than this, most IMAP clients auto-create folders according to their own naming convention if they don't exist. Every client introduces its own view. Users

Add users to samba using a list.
Hi! I'm trying to create a script wich allows me to add users to samba based on a list. The list got the structure: user1 user2 user3 (one value on each line) Is there a simple way to add these users (with home folders) to the samba-system with the password "BasicPassword" ? Thanks :)

When should dictionary entries for the expire plugin be added/updated?
I've set up Dovecot 2.0 with the expire plugin using an SQLite DB, and when mail is delivered via dovecto-lda, the DB gets updated as expected. However, when I use Thunderbird 3.1.2 for Mac OS X to move a message to any of the folders known to the expire plugin (e.g. the 'tmp' folder), the SQLite DB is not updated. Here is an excerpt of my current configuration: #

file_column problem
I cannot get the file_column plugin to work. Probably something stupid I am doing wrong as I am pretty much a newbie... 1. I added a varchar column to my table called "image" 2. This is my class: class User < ActiveRecord::Base file_column :image, :magick => { :geometry => "80x80>" } attr_accessor :new_password ... rest of class 3. In my controller I
