[PATCH] [dovecot 2.2.9] Quota warnings ignored with FS quotas
Hi all,
I noticed that in some circumstances quota warnings are ignored. The bug
arises when both of the following are used:
1. percentage-based quota warnings, i.e.:
quota_warning = storage=1%% quota-warning 1 %u
2. filesystem quota backend (and probably others, except for quotas
configured directly in dovecot config)
Percentage-based quota warnings have rule.bytes_limit recalculated

1.1 beta 11 - no quota warnings
Having tried and failed to get 1.0.8 with quota-rewrite to send warnings, I removed the 1.0.8 and installed the latest 1.1 - however I still can't get the warnings! Can someone advise what might be wrong - it must be my configuration??
To compile 1.1 I used ./configure --with-deliver --with-mysql. I've chopped and changed my conf till I'm blue in the face. My dovecot-mysql.conf file

quota error dovecot 1.1.13
Hi all,
I've troubles with dovecot and quota. Sometimes mails to users are bounced because quota is full. I'm reading quota_rules from LDAP. One "du -h ." from maildir show user is under quota ( at 70 % more or less), less than 99%, i delete maildirsize and dovecot recreate it with ldap-quota value at first line and second line is current-quota mails. Current-quota is near quota

Quota warning not generated
I am testing out the unofficial quota warning patch with Dovecot 1.0.0,
and no matter what values I use for the storage or messages values, the
warning script is never executed.
My plugin settings are:
plugin {
quota = maildir:storage=20480
quota_warning = storage=80%:messages=10 /usr/local/bin/quota-warning.sh
}
I've tried the following quota_warning lines without any luck:

Antwort: Re: Quota in MySql Dict not recalculate automatic
With quota count and quota_clone it works, but can I use noenforcing with
quota count?
quota = count:User quota:noenforcing
When I test this config, I receive no quota-warning E-Mail:
service quota-warning {
executable = script /usr/local/bin/quota-warning.sh
# user = dovecot
user = vmail
unix_listener quota-warning {
user = vmail
group = vmail
mode = 0660
}
}

Hi all,
I'm trying to implement quota support in postfix using maildrop +
dovecot but I think dovecot doesn't update info stored in maildirsize file.

quota not updated
Hi,
we're using quota with the maildir backend. When new mail arrives, the quota
gets updated. But when mail is expunged, quota stays the same (see imap dialog
below). We're using the latest version from hg ( 1.2.13 ). Any ideas?

maildirsize quota does not referred after migration from courier
Dear All,
We would like to migrate our existing courier to dovecot. After reading
document on website and doing some tests, here are some issues we met.
1. According the the wiki, it seems to imply that once migrating from
courier to dovecot, pop3 users may "lost/forget" their download "index/
history" which cause them to download again old mails that are kept on

Warning recipient when message delivery fails due to over-quota
I'm working to configure automated quota notifications in Dovecot and am
wondering if it is possible to send a warning message to a user when
message delivery fails because the user is over-quota.
I already have the following directives configured:
quota_warning = storage=95%% quota-warning 95 %u %d
quota_warning2 = storage=80%% quota-warning 80 %u %d
quota_warning3 = -storage=100%%

Double quota calulation when special folder is present
Hello,
we're operating dovecot on a small server. Some years ago, we migrated
from courier IMAP to dovecot. Therefore, we defined our default
Namespace "inbox" with prefix "INBOX." to have this compatible. I found
this in some migration docs those days. Generally, everything worked as
expected.
Our only namespace is configured like this:
namespace inbox {

Dovecot 2.0, mysql and quota
Hello all,
I have some troubles to make the quota_check working with dovecot 2.0.
My config is the following: postfix, dovecot as lda, mysql as virtual
mailuser backend, and postfixadmin for the mailuser administration.
Previously i have a working setup with dovecot 1.x, now with the 2.0
something is wrong about the quota, but i don't know what...
Here is my config:

I'm having some problems with quota from sql (maildir++) and dovecot +

I'm using maildrop for MDA and dovecot as IMAP server.
When an e-mail arrives, maildrop calculates the quota and updates the
'maildirsize' file. When i use dovecot (webmail, thunderbird) it updates
the 'maildirsize' too, overwriting it, but in a

Hi,
I try to get the quota-warning.sh script working with quota/dict but I
get some errors.
The script looks like:

Problem with quota warning
Hi again,
my test environment is working now and finally I tried to implement my
quota warning but it is not working. LDA says the mailbox is full even
it is not (only 81% and that is why the quota warning is executed).
Further I used :noenforcing in my script.

Dovecot + Vpopmail quota issues
I can't get dovecot to ignore a certain directory/namespace when
calculating quotas.
I am running dovecot 1.2.16 with vpopmail configured for quotas.
I use the dot (.) as my separator and my user structure is as follows:
../domain.com/user/Maildir for all the user directories
I also have for each user:
../domain.com/user/Maildir/Archive which is a symlink to a NFS
mounted
