Upgrade question from 1.1 to 1.2
Good afternoon, I am considering to upgrade from Dovecot 1.1.18 to 1.2.x and was reading your Wiki regarding any changes and found: "If you were using e.g. mail_location = maildir:/var/mail/%h, just change it to mail_location = maildir:%h and add /var/mail/ prefix to home dirs." I am currently using: "mail_location = maildir:~/Maildir" in combination with vpopmail. Does

Hello all. I am reading the mailinglist for a long time now, and there was a thread i believe called webgui or something. In this thread there was a company i believe german, that was working on a dovecot appliance with a web based gui to administrate a dovecot mail server. The problem is i did not save the URL of that company. Does anyone know which company make the appliance. Or does

Samba 3 reports 'directory does not exist' when trying to creating an already existing directory
Hi, since an upgrade to Samba 3 (the binary rpms samba-3.0.0-1from a samba download site, redhat 7.3) this morning, we've been experiencing problems with WinCVS on mounted network drives. apparently, (one of) the following options is causing the problems (I can't do more detailed testings right now because too many people are working on the server) - we use these options to ensure

IDMAP dump and restore for second server.
Hello all. I use Samba 3.6.3 on FreeBSD in combination with ZFS, and it all works fine. I use zfs send to receive my store on a backup machine and i want the users id to be the same as on the master server so to say. Keeps my backups easy accessable with samba! Now i know i can dump the IDMAP database using the following: net idmap dump. I expect a whole bunch of lines, but i get the following,

zpool labelclear destroys GPT data
When i use zpool labelclear, it wipes the whole disk including gpt data. So the whole disk is empty and i need to create the gpt partitions again. Is this supposed to work like this? The man page suggests that it only wipes the ZFS metadata. zpool labelclear [-f] device Removes ZFS label information from the specified device. The device must not be part of an active pool

Out of office reminder with sieve
I found in the wiki the out of office reminder option. But the sample is looking for a .out-of-office file. I can not find out how to create this file. I use roundcube to set the out of office with sieve. what is the best way to implement this. Second question, where are the addresses stored that have send an e-mail to the user who has out of office set? thanks regards, Johan Hendriks

Best Practices question regarding views & controllers
Hi List! I''m reading the Agile book, as many online articles as I can, but there''s still some things that are just too hard to answer for yourself. In building my application, I often find myself putting code into my views of which I am not quite certain it belongs there. Where do you usually draw the line? Is it okay to, say, loop through an array of hashes that represents

Changing performance.parallel-readdir to on causes CPU soft lockup and very high load all glusterd nodes
Hi, Just to update this thread. We updated from Gluster 3.12.2 to 3.12.3 which resolved the issue it seems. I checked the changelog but don't see anything that looks like this issue, but I'm glad it seems like it's OK now. Detecting Co-residency of VMs on KVM
I am doing an experiment which involves detecting co-resident VMs (testing if 2 VMs are on the same physical machine) on KVM. I have tried using cache covert channel, but this test does not work if the VMs are on different processors within the same host as the caches are not shared then. If I use the tools netperf and iperf to differentiate using network channels, I am not getting clear results.
