Deliver *sometimes* delivers via /tmp?
Hi,
I'm running dovecot (1.1.7) deliver and sieve (1.1.5) on a Fedora 9
platform, using selinux targetet mode.
Most of the mail deliveries goes well, but once deliver tried to copy
the mail to the /tmp directory, which it seems it not allowed by
selinux. I guess that deliver wants to sanitize the mail or something
and therefore copies it to /tmp.
Before I ask for selinux to allow this, I

I would like to convert all users mail from maildir to mdbox. My Dovecot

constant Log synchronization error's
Hi,
I am seeing constant "Log synchronization error"s in my logs. See later
for an example.
This is dovecot 2.2.4, pigeonhole 0.4.1, and postfix 2.10.1 (with
mailbox_command = /usr/libexec/dovecot/deliver) on a Fedora 19 system.
I am using packages from Atrpms so there are some patches applied - ask
for details. The mailboxes have resently been moved from a i386 system.
I have

NUT stopped working after an upgrade
Did the upgrade by chance install/alter any udev rules causing the UPS devices to now have incorrect permissions? And what user is nut running as?

NUT stopped working after an upgrade
Nut should be running as user nut. As far as I can tell, the udev rules
have not changed. And the system IS seeing the UPS at a low level.
I looked through /dev/ but did not see a device that jumps out as the UPS.

Check /dev/hidraw6, as noted in your dmesg output (and any other *hid* devices under /dev). User nut has almost zero privs to devices unless a udev rule changes the perms on the dev for nut . . .

NUT stopped working after an upgrade
Running NUT version 2.8.2 on Fedora 40. NUT installed from the Fedora
package. CyberPower CP1000AVRLCD connected by USB.
I updated the system yesterday with all the latest Fedora packages. Now
NUT will not run. Chasing the issue through the layers, I come to this:

Fedora 40 nut-server not starting at boot
I've had fun with nut on RH systems, these are my notes to get it working:
Create /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/nut-client.conf:D? ? /run/nut 0770 root nut -
...the file did not exist, and so the PID folder/file was not getting generated. Then the driver would start.
Also had to setup enabled services (still not 100% confident that this is totally correct):[root at emp80 ups]# systemctl list-unit-files

MythTV on Centos 4
I'm starting a project to build a MythTV box for my living room. Anyone else
currently working with MythTV on CentOS 4?
Here are some of the gotcha's I've worked through so far:
- I was originally planning on using KnoppMyth. But their CD appears to be only for
i386. Without realizing it, the P4 CPU I picked is one of the newer ones with the
x86_64 extensions. It won't boot

kvm in Centos 5.3
Hi All,
Is KVM support in CentOS 5.3 complete? That is, can a CentOS 5.3 system
host KVM VMs or does CentOS 5.3 only support being virtualized via KVM?
I ask because I installed KVM on a CentOS 5.3 host, but I can't find a
kvm module anywhere in /lib/modules/* (let alone the running kernel).

Looking for ways to save space - AKA how to boot multiple machines from the same root
I have several machines, same hardware and config, but one tiny little
change.. the hostname. Each one of these diskless machines needs its own

Presently my pxelinux.cfg is setup like:

Re: calculating the needed swiotlb in dom0
I just found out that setting swiotlb=128 in dom0 grub.conf allowed me to
run my mythtv domU with additonal options to ivtv:
in /etc/modprobe.d/options
options ivtv enc_mpg_buffers=8
Setting this to any higher value causes a kernel panic. I want to be able
to specify
options ivtv enc_mpg_buffers=16 enc_vbi_buffers=8
How much swiotlb do I need? Is there a way to figure this out or is it just

the "official" lightweight desktop environment for CentOS?
I want to build a dedicated MythTV box using CentOS5. I need a
lightweight desktop environment, something extremely simple that does
not use much memory. Gnome and KDE use way too much memory and are too
complex for what I want to do.
The system will login automatically to a certain account after booting
up. After the automatic login, it will start immediately the MythTV
frontend full-screen.
