Hopefully good now. > What were the GSSAPI changes? I am having problems with _some_ of my users using GSSAPI auth. I am using version 1.2.1. The client (thunderbird) reports that the

Linux libc5 ''bug'' in mkstemp().
Pardon me if this is already known -- Theo, at least, had never heard of a Unix doing this. mkstemp() under Linux claims to conform to BSD4.3, but BSDs (FreeBSD and OpenBSD, at least) seem to have a slightly different behavior. Under Linux, new files are created with mode 0666, while under BSDs new files are created with mode 0600. A user need only set his umask to 0 and he will be able to

Defunct processes w/ v1.2.1
I have limited information at the moment (currently distracted by other projects) but I'm hoping that someone has already found and solved this problem. I have a v1.2.1 installed on my development box waiting for me to tinker with the configuration. On several occasions, I have noticed that all the dovecot processes are listed as "defunct". I don't recall seeing anything

convert-tool skip_dotfiles is not the actual option
Looking at the source for convert-tool.c, I see this: "Usage: <username> <home dir> <source mail env> <dest mail env>\n" \ " [skip_broken_mailboxes] [skip_dotfiles] [alt_hierarchy_char=<c>]" else if (strcmp(argv[i], "skip_dotdirs") != 0) set.skip_dotdirs = TRUE; Looks like the usage line needs to be fixed (dovecot-1.2-0.rc2).

Released Sieve v0.1.9 for Dovecot v1.2.1
Hello Dovecot users, Relatively many bugs and problems were reported recently in a short period of time. Apparently, now that Dovecot v1.2 is finally stable, the new Sieve plugin is also starting to get used much more. No known bugs remain. Let's hope I didn't spawn any new ones. Apart from the bugfixes I made the deprecated notify plugin implementation compatible with CMUSieve. You

http://dovecot.org/releases/1.2/rc/dovecot-1.2.rc6.tar.gz http://dovecot.org/releases/1.2/rc/dovecot-1.2.rc6.tar.gz.sig I think it's time to get v1.2.0 released soon. There is apparently still one rare crashing bug in virtual plugin, but unless someone can reproduce the bug I'm not going to delay v1.2.0 because of it. The release plan is: - Release v1.2.rc7 next Friday (assuming there

[Bug] dovecot deliver v1.2.1 segfaults
Hello list, I have noticed strange dovecot behavior with exim system-filter. I'm using exim+dovecot setup. My exim configuration have system filter enable, which restrict some attachments, like exe, vbs etc. When message with forbidden attachment received, exim accept the message, then construct bounce-message(Reject reason + original message) and returns it to sender. Trying to deliver such

NFS cache flush tester
http://dovecot.org/tools/nfstest.c I wrote a test utility that tests different ways to flush NFS attribute cache and data cache. Please test in your NFS setup and show me the results, so I can make Dovecot v1.1 works well with NFS. Run the test several times (3 should be enough) to make sure the output stays the same, because the attribute cache flushes might incorrectly say "OK". And

Problem with installation of rpm's, Please help me.
Hi All, I am a newbie and trying to install Asterisk from instructions given in http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+RPM. We have Centos 3.3 so I downloaded rpm's from ftp://ftp.linuxsys.com/pub/LSE/packages/CentOS-3.4/asterisk-1.0.9/ and tried installing one by one but I get the following errors error: Failed dependencies: asterisk = v1.0.9 is needed by
