[Gluster-devel] Gluster Health Report tool
Hi, since people are suggesting nagios then I can't resist suggesting exporting the metrics in the prometheus format, or at least making the project into a library so https://github.com/prometheus/client_python could be used to export the prometheus metrics. There has been an attempt at https://github.com/ofesseler/gluster_exporter but it is not maintained anymore. Cheers, Marcin On Wed,

weird error with rake create_sessions_table
Hi all, Despite switching to mod_fcgid (which has improved performance), sessions are still expiring sporadically. I thought I might try switching to storing them in the db, but I get the following error when I try to run the rake create_sessions_table command D:\User\Code\ruby\prometheus>rake create_sessions_table (in D:/User/Code/ruby/prometheus) rake aborted! undefined local variable or

Strange file upload error
Hi There, So we are having this really strange file upload error. We can upload a file to rails, store it in the DB, and download it again all fine. We also have things set up to allow us to edit the file, and upload a new one to replace the existing file. This functionality works just fine for text files, but fails for microsoft word and PDF files. It''s really strange; we''re

Samba Performance Monitoring?
What is the impact of turning profiling on? profiling support = on More specifically, we're setting up a custom Prometheus exporter for Samba, but smbstatus does not provide a whole lot of detailed information for samba health, etc. I was hoping for more detailed information that we can forward to Prometheus. So my question is: 1. What options exist for efficiently getting metrics?

Re: HugePages - can't start guest that requires them
As I mentioned, I got the instances to launch... but they're only taking HugePages from "Node 0", when I believe my setup should pull from both nodes. About libc/tls
Hello, I asked Aurelien Jarno from the Debian glibc team about our /lib/tls problem. It gave me a little help: # ldd /bin/echo libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0x40021000) # touch /etc/ld.so.hwnocap # ldd /bin/echo libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x40021000) I think this could help us. -- Julien Danjou .''`. Xen and glibc
Hello, We [the Debian Xen package team] are currently working on Xen packages, and are planning to include them into Debian. A current issue in Xen, is the libc problem. From the Xen wiki [1]: "Xen uses segmentation to provide protection of the memory used for the hypervisor. This results in some performance issues since wrap-around segments as used by glibc need expensive extra handling.

Problem with LSUB and public namespace
Hi, I'd like to know if the following is normal. I've a setup with 2 namespace (private/public) where each user can use subscriptions. This problem is triggered by claws-mail, which uses LSUB to get subscribed mailboxes: * OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 LITERAL+ SASL-IR LOGIN-REFERRALS ID ENABLE AUTH=PLAIN] Dovecot ready. . login user password . namespace * NAMESPACE (("INBOX."

Permanent flags not announced and public mailbox with per-user index
Hi, I've a set of public mailboxes that all users can access. The index is stored per user, so each user can mark the message as read for themselves. This is with dovecot 1.2.10. However, when selecting the mailbox, system flags are not announced as permanent but only as session flags: 3619 SELECT "public.Admin" * FLAGS (\Answered \Flagged \Deleted \Seen \Draft) * OK

long format - find age when another variable is first 'high'
Dear R, I've got a data frame with children examined multiple times and at various ages. I'm trying to find the first age at which another variable (LDL-Cholesterol) is >= 130 mg/dL; for some children, this may never happen. I can do this with transformBy and ddply, but with 10,000 different children, these functions take some time on my PCs - is there a faster way to do this in R?

Re: HugePages - can't start guest that requires them
*facepalm* Now that I'm re-reading the documentation it's obvious that <page/> and @nodeset are for the guest, "This tells the hypervisor that the guest should have its memory allocated using hugepages instead of the normal native page size." Pretty clear there. Thank you SO much for the guidance, I'll return to my tweaking. I'll report back here with my results.

CTDB Statistics Definitions and Scheme?
Hi Team, I'm working on a CTDB Prometheus Exporter. I have two questions... First, does anyone have an "internal" cheat sheet on the metrics and their descriptions? I didn't really see much online, or in the source code. Bug#393953: xen-3.0: DomU sometimes crashes while booting
Package: xen-3.0 Severity: important While booting the DomU, it sometimes crashes, especially if the vif-device is not up yet. I managed to get the console output (xm console test), which I'll attach to this bug report. It seems it is some kernel bug, but I'm not sure. If you need more information, please tell me how to get it, and I will try to post it. -- System Information: Debian
