Dovecot 1.2 - Quotas - Ignoring Trash folder
Hello guys, Firstly I would like to state that I am fairly new to Dovecot. I have played around with it in the past here and there but mainly with debian packages. I have compiled this version of Dovecot from source, so please go easy with me. Ok now down to my questions: I am having trouble getting Dovecot to 'ignore' the Trash folder when summing up the used quota for a user.

Authentication Problem with dovecot-2.3.0.1
I am a little confused here. I have been running 2.2.34 which I installed in /opt/dovecot2.2 I installed 2.3.0.1 to /opt/dovecot23 I then used config files from /opt/dovecot2.2/etc/dovecot to /opt/dovecot2.3/etc/dovecot and all I did was sed -i.BAK 's/dovecot2.2/dovecot2.3/g'. Dovecot started and was running file. Next, I manually crafted config files for 2.3.0.1 based on the example

quota: ignore deleted messages (?)
Hi! I am currently in the process of preparing a migration of our old Courier-based IMAP/POP server setup to a Dovecot-based one. During this process I came across the following problem with the difference Courier and Dovecot handle deleted messages and mail quota. Quote from http://www.courier-mta.org/imap/README.maildirquota.html: ,---- | The default application configuration that uses this

quota-rewrite patch & userdb quota overriding
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I've spent the past couple of hours trying to figure this out by checking the wiki and googling, but haven't come up with anything that works yet. I just installed dovecot 1.0.14 with the quota-rewrite (1.09) patch and i'm trying to get the quota overridden via a passwd-file type userdb. I had 1.0.13 without the new quota style patched

still having difficulties with per-user quotas
Hello, I am trying to get per-user quotas working. My thanks to all who have helped so far. To recap I am running Dovecot 2.1 and Mysql where I've got my virtual users. All virtual users are under the system user vmail with a UID and GID of 5000. Looking over the wiki docs I've added a quota table and got the dict service working, I am not having problems with permissions or the login

xi.rename-it.nl/debian/ dovecot-2.0 sieve problem
Hi, i used to use deb http://xi.rename-it.nl/debian/ stable-auto/dovecot-2.0 main to update dovecot 1.2 with debian lenny. I used the convert script to change my configuration file. Everything works fine but sieve does not work anymore. There is no error in the logs but dovecot simply ignores any filter. I checked the documentation/configuration twice and had still no success. Maybe, this

Quota ignore issue
Hi Timo, ok, in my dovecot setup, I have a setting to ignore messages in the Spam folder (I will put my dovecot -n at the end of the message), and a strange thing appears to be happening. If I do a quota recalc on an account, It creates the maildirsize file correctly, without the contents of the Spam folder calculated into the total used. But, it looks like when a new spam email is delivered,

Return extra fields from passwd userdb
Hi, thanks for your helpful reply. I understand that default_fields is not my solution. To be more accurate, all users in ldap db need to use mail, but some users in /etc/passwd file use mail too. For this reason I set up "driver=passwd" in userdb section and in /etc/nsswitch.conf I set up "passwd: files ldap". Now I want to use dovecot per user quota to limit ldap

deliver does not update maildirsize
Hello, I have installed postfix 2.5.1 + dovecot 1.0.13 + MySQL and it all works perfectly. I use deliver as the local delivery agent and use IMAP only with maildir mailboxes. I am using virtual mailboxes. Now I wanted to introduce quotas, but I can't manage to make them work. Quota information is retreived from MySQL in userdb requests. I have noticed that the maildirsize file is not

On Debian, those are available as a separate dovecot-dbg package. I'm not sure how FreeBSD provides this. Regards, Stephan. > >> On Nov 15, 2018, at 17:17, Bert JW
