Failed to create a solaris DOMU using NFS root
Hello, I''ve installed a OpenSolaris dom0 snv_44 on a x4100 server, and booted a 32-bit xen kernel. I''m trying to create a OpenSolaris DOMU (snv_44) by following the howto described at http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/xen/howto/create-osox-domu/. I did not manage to create a diskless environment by using SUNWCXall. I''ve created SUNWCreq instead and add the

Crossbow and zones
Howdy, I just finished reading through the Crossbow presentation: http://blogs.sun.com/sunay/resource/crossbow.pdf And have one question. If you create a virtual NIC with dladm: $ dladm create-vnic -d bge0 -m 0:1:2:3:4:5 -b 10000 1 Can you then add vnic1 directly to the zone? e.g.: zonecfg -z zone1 zonecfg:zone1> create zonecfg:zone1> set zonepath=/zones/zone1 zonecfg:zone1> add net

Sharding problem - multiple shard copies with mismatching gfids
Ian, Do you've a reproducer for this bug? If not a specific one, a general outline of what operations where done on the file will help. regards, Raghavendra On Mon, Mar 26, 2018 at 12:55 PM, Raghavendra Gowdappa <rgowdapp at redhat.com> wrote: > > > On Mon, Mar 26, 2018 at 12:40 PM, Krutika Dhananjay <kdhananj at redhat.com> > wrote: > >> The gfid mismatch

Sharding problem - multiple shard copies with mismatching gfids
Raghavendra, Sorry for the late follow up. I have some more data on the issue. The issue tends to happen when the shards are created. The easiest time to reproduce this is during an initial VM disk format. This is a log from a test VM that was launched, and then partitioned and formatted with LVM / XFS: [2018-04-03 02:05:00.838440] W [MSGID: 109048]

Using Dovecot with nsswitch for LDAP on Solaris
Hello all, I'm having some issues configuring dovecot 1.0.10 on a Solaris 10 box, that uses LDAP?for its accounts. The local accounts (in /etc/passwd) are authenticated properly and work as expected, but all accounts from the LDAP fail authentication. Those are declared for the system using PAM and NSS (/etc/pam.conf and /etc/nsswitch.conf are configured accordingly). Currently, there are

Sharding problem - multiple shard copies with mismatching gfids
Sorry for the delay, Ian :). This looks to be a genuine issue which requires some effort in fixing it. Can you file a bug? I need following information attached to bug: * Client and bricks logs. If you can reproduce the issue, please set diagnostics.client-log-level and diagnostics.brick-log-level to TRACE. If you cannot reproduce the issue or if you cannot accommodate such big logs, please set

Sharding problem - multiple shard copies with mismatching gfids
Hello all, We are having a rather interesting problem with one of our VM storage systems. The GlusterFS client is throwing errors relating to GFID mismatches. We traced this down to multiple shards being present on the gluster nodes, with different gfids. Hypervisor gluster mount log: [2018-03-25 18:54:19.261733] E [MSGID: 133010] [shard.c:1724:shard_common_lookup_shards_cbk]

Sharding problem - multiple shard copies with mismatching gfids
The gfid mismatch here is between the shard and its "link-to" file, the creation of which happens at a layer below that of shard translator on the stack. LDAP authenticated bind support
Recently at Better.be we implemented LDAP authenticated bind support for dovecot. A patch against CVS HEAD is attached. I have not tested it against all possible configurations one can use, but the basic operation seems to be right. As documented in the patch, it adds one new option to the dovecot-ldap.conf configuration file: # Set "auth_bind" to "yes" if you want to use

Packages build for Solaris ? As CSW packages ?
Well imitation is the highest form of flattery they say. So I''m surprised to see these packages neatly built to install into /opt/csw correctly and yet they exist somewhere else and have nothing to do with us here at Blastwave. fascinating. I guess we can always send an email to the person doing this and just ask if they want those packages in testing and then into the catalog for

problems with puppetd on some of my solaris machines
I am having troubles with getting puppetd running on some of my Solaris10 update 7 (05/2009) boxes. I use Jumpstart to build my servers, so the installation is repeatable, consistent, and automated, so it is especially confusing that some boxes work, and others don''t. I can ssh into both of these machines, so the host certs should be OK. As part of my installation, I download the

Started the discussion in puppet users mailing list based on recommendation from luke. This discussion is to a follow up regarding bug#1955 "Could not find server puppet" - installation/configuration error". jamtur01''s last recommendation: Rather than renaming things try the certname option (see http://reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/ConfigurationReference). puppetrun fails: "Certificates were not trusted"
Hello all, I''ve tried to run ''puppetrun'', but there seems something unconfigured regarding the certificates. The reverse way (puppetd pulls the config from puppetmasterd) works fine. The namespaceauth.conf on the client (where puppetd runs) is configured as follows: [puppetrunner] allow *.abc.net (also tried the calling host: puppet1.abc.net) But when I call

"subset" or "condition" as argument to a function
Dear Rxperts! I was wondering if it is possible to write a function which can take in argument of a subset or condition.. Of course, I am aware of the alternate methods like coplot, par.plot, xyplot etc... I am specifically interested in using conditions/subsets with "plot".. A simple fragmented example is shown here.. pltit <- function(y,x,dat,dat1,dat2,sbst) { plot(y~x, data=dat,
