ssl and NameVirtualHost
I recently aquired a Verisign SSL certificate for my web server on Centos 4, with apache 2.0.59 from centosplus. It however doesn't seem to be working the way I've set it up, browsers connect but are told the certiticate is not recognized. Showing more info, the information looks correct. I think it has probably to do with the fact that I'm using the certificate on a virtual

yum install libstdc++-devel
On CentOS 4.5 (x86_64); happening on several different machines with libstdc++ and libstdc++-devel v. 3.4.6-8 only one of the i386 or x86_64 versions of libstc++-devel is installed if I yum install libstdc++-devel it will install the x86_64 version and remove the i386 version, but not warn me. Similarly if the i386 version is installed it will install the x86_64 and remove the i386,

unable to write files bigger than 4GB over NFS
This may not be a CentOS problem, because I'm in a mixed environment. But I put it out in case anybody has any thoughts. I recently replaced a file server, which was on a Pentium III based system running 32-bit CentOS 4.3, with an Opteron based system running Fedora 4. The NFS clients are all CentOS 4.3, some are 32 bit and some are 64 bit. Since the replacement, when I try to write

DRBD module for latest kernel
Will there be a matching DRBD kernel module package for the latest kernel that is in the updates repository? The kernel version in the updates is: kernel-smp-2.6.9-34.0.1.EL.i686.rpm but I don't see a matching DRBD module in updates. Thanks, Steve

Sun X4540 disk replacement
Sorry for the off-topic question. I''m needing to replace a disk in a x4540 zfs file system. I have replacement ST31000NSSUN disks, but it''s not obvious to me how to separate the original disk from its drive sled, it seems to be attached by more than the usual 4 screws. Is it meant to be separated? I''ve looked the x4540 user guide but it does not say anything about it.

I am going to see if I can find someone in the organization with a Red Hat account to open the bug. In the meantime, I came up with a workaround. I wanted to see if I could role the updates back to CentOS 6.7 since the system was 6.7
