set \Seen flag on mail
I'm looking for a way to set the \Seen flag on certain mail no matter
what. Currently I'm using a global sieve script to do this. From what
I've read, there is no way to enforce the global script if the user
creates their own sieve script.
More details:
I have a postfix transport that along with sender_bcc_maps and
recipient_bcc_maps uses deliver to create a read only archive of

Dovecot 1.0.15, sieve fileinto subdirectory ?
Hi,
does sieve plugin in 1.0.15 support fileinto subdirectory?
There is a maildir .oss.dovecot and sieve rule:
if envelope :contains "to" "k+dovecot"
{
fileinto "oss.dovecot";
}
But I get LDA error:
Couldn't open mailbox dovecot: Mailbox doesn't exist: dovecot
Any suggestions? Delivery to non-subdirectories is working fine.

Deliver/LDA, no data in the logs, even with debug set (dovecot + qmail-ldap), and sieve issue
Hi,
I am trying to integrate sieve with qmail-ldap. I can't get it to work, and
deliver isn't logging anything to the log files (or syslog, if selected).
Hence I have got no way to diagnose the problem. Any help appreciated.

delivers mail to bad directory(prefix) using sieve filters
Hi,
I've installed dovecot debian stable(from backports) version (1.0.15). Its
great..i just have problem with sieve filters. I use only web tool for
creating filters that works for me (avelsieve plugin for squirrelmail).
it creates rules, where specified folder has prefix INBOX. Thats fine..
Since dovecot has configured prefix INBOX too. BUT mails are delivered to
INBOX.INBOX.test_folder

Shared instance
Hello.
I have inbox instance for incoming messages and second private instance
for archiving mails with different maildir location.
Sharing for folders in inbox instance works perfectly. But it does not
work for folders in archiving instance.
I can't create two shared instances, dovecot fails.
Can I have two locations in one shared instance?

sieve-body extension support for deliver LDA's sieve plugin
Hi Timo & Co,
Is there any time frame for updating the deliver LDA's sieve plugin
code to that from Cyrus IMAPd v2.3.x?
I ask as I'm looking for the functionality of the sieve-body
extension, as described here:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-sieve-body-06.txt
This requirement has come up as we're upgrading from a
Courier-IMAP/maildrop configuration that has

sieve-body extension support for deliver LDA's sieve plugin
Hello, I just read your message about sieve and body-extension in Dovecot. Do you have news on that topic?
I just have to filter mails containing a particular text fragment, and I cannot do without sieve body, I think..
Thank you for any clue you'd be able to give me !

Bruno

I have read already. Probably not so carefully but do not find any for multiple location option inside namespace.

Sieve not fast enough after upgrade?
I've upgraded mine Dovecot 1.0.15 to 1.2.4 also moved to new Sieve. I
have simple sieve rule:
if header :contains "Delivered-To" ["bcc at bcc.inblock.ru"] {
setflag "\\Seen";
}
It basically mark my own messages which are saved to Sent folder. When I
was on 1.0.15 I never seen unread count in Thunderbird, but suddenly
after upgrade I seen unread

I'm getting user unknown when trying to deliver to Sent folder messages.

win32api call NetFileEnum against samba
Hi,
I'm trying to list open files on a samba server with the win32 api call
NetFileEnum(). I have successfully done this against samba 3.0.30-1. I have
another samba server (debian version: 3.0.14a-3sarge2) which the call
doesn't seem to work properly against. I get one result for username

fine with smbstatus, so

sieve/dovecot folder separator inconsistency
Hi,
I'm running dovecot 1.0.15 and ran recently into a problem with the
folder separators when using sieve scripts.
The server is set to use a slash as a folder separator for all
namespaces and announces this correctly when issuing the NAMESPACE
command. We are using Ingo (http://www.horde.org/ingo/) of the horde
framework to manage our sieve scripts. It creates the folder name /

Server-side mail archiving - possible dovecot lda feature?
Hi Timo,
I have a question on the feasibility of adding the capability directly
in dovecot LDA (or maybe this wouldn't be the correct place?) to provide
a server-side mail archiving feature.
What I'd like is a simple way to define a maildir, ie:
vmail/archive/$user/Inbox
and
vmail/archive/$user/Inbox.Sent
And then have the dovecot LDA deliver a copy of all mail (incoming and

sieve vacation: write to the .lda-dupes database without generating a vacation response.
I'm using Dovecot's sieve extensions quite happily, they are very good!
Thanks for all who worked on them. I have a question that maybe is
appropriate for a sieve-specific discussion list, so if there is one I
should post to instead, please let me know:
I've poked through the sieve vacation RFC and all the documentation I
can find and I cannot figure out how to do this. It's

can't deliver with Kerberos username
I've been trying to use Kerberos and PLAIN text file for authentication.
I've setup deliver in postfix master.cf and make sure correct username
are expanded but deliver is always told me "user unknown".
I can logon into mailbox using Kerberos w/o problems and can send
emails. Looks like Dovecot lookup up passwd files and not finding users
which are in Kerberos realm.
