exim+dovecot+sieve issue
Hi, We have mail server in production, with Exim + Dovecot + Mailman + OpenLDAP + Roundcube webmail server. Openldap keeps mail accounts in db, exim uses lmtp transport to deliver messages to dovecot. Mailman is responsible for mailing lists, Roundcube webmail has managsieve module to create sieve filters. Exim router, transport for dovecot > localuser: > driver = accept > domains =

Filtering mails with sieve filters
Hello good people, I have dovecot- 2.3.7.2 (Ubuntu Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS) running fine. However, I have a hitch with mail filtering. Using SOGo as the webmail UI, I created a filter rule which resulted into the rule below: require ["fileinto"]; if allof (address :contains "from" "odhiambo") { fileinto "INBOX/Odhiambo"; } However, the test mail I sent

Filtering mails with sieve filters - SOLVED
You might consider adding "stop;" after the fileinto, otherwise a second match might process the message again, moving it elsewhere, etc. Tom. exim dovecot sieve
Hello list. I have just a generic question. Exim delivers fine to dovecot-lda. My problems are the logfiles. Whenever I recieve a message Exim writes to dovecot.log as the user who recieves the mail. This forces me to have that logfile world writeable. I don't really like that. How do you guys deal with that? Here my transport: dovecot_delivery: driver = pipe # You may or may not

using sieve plugin
Hi, I have installed dovecot on ubuntu edgy linux by retrieving the source debian package, building and installing the package and then building and installing the sieve plugin. However, I get no log messages indicating errors and as far as I can tell, my .dovecot.sieve script is not being used. I have introduced a syntax error in the script and see no error message. In dovecot.conf I have:

Dovecot + Exim + Maildir quota problem
Hi all i'm a new user of this list, i got a server with DirectAdmin which has exim as MUA, dovecot as POP/IMAP server, recently i added the quota to exim and pointed the maildirsize file in the same location if the dovecot's one so both services can interact with it. This has been done to let exim update the quotas while doing localdelivery while dovecot can show quotas through

Wiki needs updating: Dovecot LDA + Dovecot Sieve + Exim
So as to make sure that Dovecot Sieve's vacation system works Exim has to be forced to generate a "Reply-To:" header in the message (which it doesn't do by default). The current example for using the Dovecot LDA with Exim doesn't do this. Here is a replacement example for the local_delivery transport:- local_delivery: driver = pipe command =

Dovecot v1.0.3 -> Sieve "redirect" command returning Sendmail exit status 75
Hello! My local setup here is Exim 4.68, DSPAM 3.8.0 and Dovecot 1.0.5. Entirely on MySQL tables for virtual hosts and authentication. Dovecot does the authentication for Exim. What I am having problems with, is a simple sieve script to redirect a message that matches the "X-DSPAM-Result" header as "Spam" to another email address. When this rule matches, deliver returns in

sieve redirect envelope address problem
Good day! I have a problem with mail redirection through sieve rules. I've configured sieve rule that redirects any mail coming to user to gmail mailbox (or whatever external mail system there is). But when sieve redirects any mail it puts vmail@%dovecot_hostname% into envelope address, gives it to my exim for delivery and gmail rejects my mail because user vmail@%dovecot_hostname% do not

Is it possible to use sieve when delivering via pipe to the dovecot deliver command ?
Hello, I am using Exim with this delivery configuration: virtual_delivery: driver = pipe command = /usr/lib/dovecot/deliver -d $local_part@$domain -f ... Struggling with sieve, fileinto and variables.
Thanks for that. Turns out it was an issue with exim stripping the local part suffix from the envelope before passing over lmtp to dovecot. Fixed in the exim router config! Although if you turn on trace with spamtest it does result in a crash during mail receipt: lmtp(test at test.net)<7988><cDK3ADztDls0HwAANIsFaQ>: Panic: Unsupported 0x30 specifier starting at #38 in 'extracted
